According to this article, it was not staged and the mascot is in the hospital

This reminds me about one time they had a dancing guy in a coke zero bottle in front the student section...sometime between 07-11. He wasn't annoying or anything, but whoever was in the Mike suit must have been bored bc he got in a 3 pt. stance and LEVELED the coke bottle....student section around it went nuts... afterwards Mike held up a dry-erase board that said Mike-1 coke bottle-0...good times

Uh yeah it kinda did. Not to mention the fact that the Patriots mascot got back up and tackled Adams later that day, lmaooo. So he could have honestly hurt himself by tackling Adams. Really not a big deal here.
