So I have no trouble believing there is more to the story. It seems odd that he would cold cock a girl out of the blue, but people keep saying "some one else has claimed to have done it, and other witnesses have disputed the story, but where are they getting this info. I have seen it nowhere even though people keep saying it.
The story was sketchy to me from the start. Supposedly, Mills' girlfriend is now claiming to have hit the victim. Whatever really happened is NEVER going to come to light, but without video evince the prosecution has no case against Mills. As I said earlier in the tread, this will be a non story in a week.

Because some people actually believe that all LSU football players are angels incapable of harm.

These people are the minority. Jefferson had death threats by former and active military, and Hill was called a child molester by fans and main stream media alike.

Is this not exactly what I said? I've already stated that LSU is one of the best in the SEC, as far as overall arrests. That doesn't change the fact that LSU does have more starters arrested/kicked off team than any other program.

There's a lot more of this crap actually BECAUSE of the name recognition of an LSU athlete than many here want to believe. Most stuff like this occurs on a daily basis somewhere else involving "regular" people and does not involve law enforcement. Even when it does, it's also more rare than you might think for the authorities to initiate arrest action and more often than not, they ensure names and contact information is recorded and if either party wants to pursue the matter they're advised how to pursue it as an individual and wash their hands of it. Now, when it comes to the responding officers, they are individuals as well. Some could care less about who started what & just want to make the end of shift ASAP, some take one side or the other based on his or her personal bias, some may be a fan & sympathetic to an athlete while others may feel athletes have a free ride & will push the limits to "take them down a notch.
In this case, the information contained in the actual warrant is sketchy at best and leaves lots of room for question. Why would the" victim" come to Mill's apartment (which is his home) knocking @1:AM looking for HER friend. When asked to leave and the door was closed did she return and repeat the scenario? Then, the comments about as she was leaving she "thought" she heard someone(?) say something & was struck in the mouth with sufficient force to render her unconscious. I beg to ask, if walking away & just turning to see who spoke would hardly have positioned her for a direct frontal blow as described.
There absolutely IS more to the story for better or worse for Mills. My instinct is the "victim" came to Mills apartment intending to confront another woman out of jealousy & as anyone could predict, things went south from there.
Much more will come out when Mill's attorney completes his report & meets with the DA. As of now, I'll be mildly shocked if the charges aren't dropped & even more surprised if he could be convicted at trial.

Really? Don't post shite as fact when you can't prove it. Now every tool on here will be repeating this because you think it's true. Ban yourself.

Get fricked. I posted a list of players already. If you want to dispute it why don't YOU provide proof that I was wrong.

The attorney for Jalen Mills is amassing information to potentially challenge claims the LSU safety punched a woman, leaving her with four stitches in her lip and him arrested on counts of second-degree battery.
Attorney Brent Stockstill said Friday his own investigation into the incident at Mills’ Highland Road apartment has produced information from additional witnesses that Baton Rouge police did not interview after the altercation in early May, details he plans on passing along to the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office.
“There are a large number of people, at least five or six, that would have information,” Stockstill said. “I think it would be important for someone making their decision about what charge, if any, is going to be filed.”
Mills, 20, a junior from DeSoto, Texas, was arrested early Wednesday morning and bailed out later that afternoon, but he has been indefinitely suspended from the football team.
District Attorney Hillar Moore III confirmed no charges have been filed against Mills.
According to the warrant, a woman knocked on Mills’ door around 1 a.m. on May 4, which he opened before shutting. The woman knocked again, got no answer and walked away.
She told police she heard someone speak to her, turned around was punched in face the by the 6-foot, 195-pound defensive back, a blow that left the victim briefly unconscious.
The woman and another witness later picked Mills out of a six-person photo lineup, according to the warrant.
Stockstill, who worked as a prosecutor in Baton Rouge before becoming a criminal defense attorney, critiqued the details of the warrant, which he called “bare bones,” and said Mills may not have taken a swing at the woman.
“I have received information about that possibly being the case,” Stockstill said.
Stockstill said he’s spoken to witnesses in the past two days who “have information that was clearly not reflected in the warrant.”
“You will discover later on that there were a large number of people at Apartment 303,” Stockstill said. “Now, I can tell you too that the police have spoken to some of those people after they issued the warrant, but I think it’s kind of late.”
However, Stockstill said he does not dispute that “none of the parties involved knew each other.”
Police have obtained a statement from Mills after he was arrested, which came on the heels of skipping a meeting set on May 29 for 5 p.m. Tuesday in order to allow Mills to return to Baton Rouge from Houston.
Still, Stockstill declined to outline a counternarrative of events leading up to the victim being struck. Instead, he plans on passing any relevant details on “Monday or Tuesday” in meetings with Assistant District Attorney Steve Danielson.
Stockstill said he’s heard information that the woman was punched by another female, both of whom may have had interest in Mills, but could not say whether his own information corroborated that theory.
“I’ve heard a lot of things,” Stockstill said. “I’m not going to claim everything is true and correct until I know everything is true and correct.”
Asked to square up how a situation involving seeming strangers escalated, Stockstill passed on fleshing out the scenario.
“Quite frankly, if I told you everything I knew, I could fill in those blanks,” Stockstill said. “I’m not going to publicly release it.”

To repeat, no charges have been filed by the D.A.'s office at this time. And that office will be provided with the information Mills' atty will not release to the public as well as the rest of his investigation. Not to sterotype, but the BRPD did a half arse job apparently.

The Gators under UM had 31 players arrested in his time there, and it's safe to say more than a few were starters. The number of UGA players arrested total over 20+. Vs CLM's 3?( Mills is still innocent & not even charged at this time ) And as to those arrests: JJ was arrested for a bar fight. Hill was arrested for a bar fight. TM was arrested for weed. Take away their football uniforms & this happens a 1000 times a yr on any college campus. Care to research what some of UM's players were arrested for? Richt's? Bama's had players arrested with possession of assualt rifles involved.

You idiot you don't know much if you are going to say newton didn't get in trouble till after the season.. fyi Newton stole laptop from dorm room and jumped out of window and lied about it and got kicked off the Florida team for multiple violations..
I guess Les Miles can predict 3 years into the future to offer scholarship to kid, Mills signs with LSU and someone accuses his player for punching women 3 years later. shite happens in life we can't control, i guess it's all LES MILES FAULT, MAN u need reality check

Did you even bother to read any of my posts? First, I said since 2011. Second, I have stated multiple times that I, in no way, think LSU has a problem with arrests. All I've said is that LSU has had at least 1 starter arrested or kicked off the team every year since 2011 and that I don't think there is another programs in the country that has had that happen in that timeframe. Nowhere in your post did you dispute that, and you actually made a ton of points that were totally irrelevant.

Think about this. First, our program has the second LEAST arrests in the SEC. Second, assume for the sake of argument that we kick a disproportionatly GREATER number of starters off of our team as you claim.
What do you think that says about our program? I remember thinking, it's insane that we're kicking off a player as talented as Mathieu, especially when we needed him so badly. We were just a few big plays from a NC that year. What other highly competitve program would so quickly cut such a valuable player loose?
Do you think other programs are magically better at picking people to start that don't have incidents, or do you think LSU has a zero tolerance policy regardless of how valuable they are to the team?
ETA: People may have their issues with CLM, but one thing is for sure. By all accounts, he is an honorable, God fearing man, who sleeps well at night knowing he's doing right by his players.

Every year Florida,Georgia ,Alabama, shite 3/4 of the SEC has a player arrested an yes some type of a starter! U just don't hear about it because it's not local. If u eat sleep and shite football like some of us do you would know this! Hell half of Georgia's D was suspended at the beginning of last year for types of arrest. You can't count this year yet because Mills is innocent right now!
