Yes, he will play more games and not have to deal with 1-2 classes during the season. But he also will be playing 28 games per month. And depending on the club who drafts him, he may not get instruction as good as what he will get at LSU.
And, he might move up in draft order with another year to improve, get healed from his injury, and work on more skills.
Not saying he should stay at LSU, and getting drafted early/mid 2nd round is great. But getting drafted 2nd or 5th or 12th next year puts him in serious signing money territory. And as they always say, "the more money they invest in a draft pick, the more patience and willingness to get them to the show quickly".
That being said: thanks Jake for some great memories you made in P&G and have a great pro career!

Invest that $60K now and he can retire comfortably instead of getting a big truck that will (based on averages) last longer than his professional baseball career.

Bringing in Wachs, Watters, Laya in the outfield with Serna/Arrambide platooning at DH & Catcher was confirmation that he was GONE. Hope the absolute best for him.

He was always going pro. He won a Championship at LSU, got better against LHP every year and the jump he took this past season was all the scouts had to see. There is not a reason for him to come back. Love Jake and would have wanted him back but it is definitely best for his career to go pro.
