What about wright and Malachi? You think scouts saw their FILM and said, yes we have to draft that guy. Or do you think they relied on combine results?

they did both.

if combine meant more than film landry wouldnt have been such a high pick.

you really think nfl scouts dismiss 3-4 years of IN PADS FILM AGAINST PEOPLE TRYING TO STOP YOU over exercises done out of pads? come on bruh, youre smarter than that.

now sure a combine can move a player up and down but its not more important than the actual game tape.

Stand corrected with those two but still proves my point exactly. Holiday was still listed as a WR when drafted. he's included in "the number of WR drafted".

what? its does not support your stance.

Holiday had success on game tape and got drafted.

shep at wrs didnt
and neother did Boone

Both of them were taken in the last 20 picks of their drafts so aspiring to make it based on your pre-draft workouts is clearly an extremely risky proposition.

. Pretty much your go to here lately. Been seeing you post similar with any one that disagrees with you.

Plus you are spinning it.

You were arguing that we had top offenses and tried to back it up saying we put more WR in the draft than anyone. Were you not? If you weren't my apologies because I read that wrong.

yes. the fact that you think the combine means more than the tape is all i need to know.

Mostly for QBs. QBs have to have good film. But we aren't talking QB. We are talking WR. Combines shows burst, agility, speed, hands and route running. Film is not more important than combine results. Why don't we see more players skipping the combine f they could just put a highlight video together? do you think Wright got drafted bc he can block? Terrible draft decision if true.

holiday stayed on a roster because of his special teamd play he developed at lsu

He's still listed as a WR and one of the ones in your "more WR drafted than any school" statement. If we take out Holiday, Skylar green because they "found spots as ST" thats going to drop our WR claim isn't it? Maybe those 2 drop us down to 50th over all? I don't know. Just throwing it out there.

Meh. Not a big deal. Semantics.

Spinning that shite again. I didn't say film doesn't matter at all. Not one time. I said combine results mean more than the tape. That's all.

Disagree but GMs and coaches are different.

And with regards to Landry, if he would have had a better combine he probably would have been a 1st rounder. I think he ran a slower 40 didn't he? That hurt him. That one combine event dropped him IMO.

Sigh. Again I didn't say film doesn't matter, I said combine results matter more. That's it. If I said that anywhere my apologies. That's not what I meant.

He obviously got beat out by Delpit. So I guess he is going to be a bench warmer.

Name the last player to switch positions twice in one fricking season, not even halfway through it?

You guys just don't get it.

He was hurt and ran a bad 40. But then ran a decent one at pro day.

him play at his natural position

I don't fully disagree but if you followed his recruitment his natural position is WR that's what he played till he was a junior

well when you left with the mess of WRs that O inherited you gonna try to get better at that spot. Hey let's try the #1 athlete in the country. Maybe he can help us there. You let him practice there for a month + and get a good look. Ok. You can't help us here right now. You can't help us on D right now. Let's get you back to safety bc that's where you are gonna help us out long term.

Now what in hades is the issue with that line of thinking?
