If he goes 0 for 3, BUT gets two walks, he's getting on base 40 % of the time which is GOOD! , That's what Jones does. if he's selective at the plate, so be it. Hits will come if they come.

His base stealing, RBI's, and walks are what's keeping him in, IMO. The dude can work a count, I'll give him that.

I may self-ban until these goofy threads stop.

I watched money ball last night so deal with it, but he is still getting on base.
How do you score? You get on base.
When Jones gets on base, he is the most efficient base stealer we have.
Also you have to play him on potential alone. We know that Jones can break out and hit 400 the rest of the way. There is noone even close to him that isn't playing when it comes to potential to help this club in all facets of the game.

Dammit...you won't be around when I start my "Jared Foster is batting .500..he clearly needs to be an every day starter" thread...

The tards want everyone in the lineup to bat .375

Except for Rhymes. He's worthless unless he's batting .431.

That's it... I'm shipping you off to the glue factory where you and GMorgan can ride your unicorns in the clouds.

I don't want to hear all of the garbage about him having better at bats, taking more walks, making solid contact, etc
Why are hits more important than walks for you?
Posted on 3/25/13 at 12:01 pm to josh336
Because you can't rely on walks to get on base, especially as the season goes on and SEC pitching talent increases. Relying on walks is not sustainable.

No. He's a stud. Hit a homerun yesterday that wind blew just foul. Let him work himself out. He'll be on another hot streak soon.

Well...if they start throwing him more strikes, maybe he will quit walking and get the hits that you covet so badly.

You must have been listening to Hawthorne. That ball landed half way down the line in the left field bleachers.
