Wasn’t crazy about the design, but the meaning and tribute the uniforms stand for are pretty awesome.

also, i can find no evidence of lsu ever wearing a purple helmet. lsu allegedly wore a michigan style helmet in the 40's except yellow with purple stripes. that's the closest as far as i can tell. seems like people are overlooking what a big deal this is
