I'm not being a ridiculous homer there because, in all honesty, it's going to be the QB position that I'll be the most concerned about going into '12.

What little I've seen of Mett, plus the fact he was #1 over #2 Murray at UGA and his JUCO experience, he will be better in 2012 than the combo of JL and JJ have been in 2011. Even if that's slightly so - holding par across the rest of our position groups, we win the conference in 2012.
Bama looks to be rebuilding in 2012, though they will be tough. Ole Miss will have a new coach. Mullen can't quite get the players to MSU yet, though they may surprise people next year. Auburn is done. Arkansas will be the biggest obstacle for us to get to Atlanta in 2012.
Is it that far-fetched we go back-to-back, with the level of young talent on the team?

I don't think it is. I think if LSU wins it this year, you can color me surprised. Take a look at the depth chart and consider everything coming back.
I'll feel better about the LB's in '12 than I did this year with Minter and Jones coming back.

We're upgrading at LB and QB. The only question is: we will find another Mo Claiborne "in the rough" so to speak?

TBH, I can't get on the QB improvement yet without seeing Mett play in a legit SEC game. I still think it's going to be the biggest question mark going into next season.
Look, regardless of the continuous arguments about Lee and Jefferson, they were both good enough to get LSU where they're at....doesn't matter what the numbers or what the Rant says. They're in there for a reason and there's a reason Mett is the back up right now and it's not because "oh, Les just likes them better because they're seniors." Sorry, I just don't buy that.

Randall is going to be fricking awesome IMO.
Haven't seen any film on him but from some of the things Ive heard(which aren't many) is a faster version of Herb Tyler a good comparison?

I don't believe in this stuff.
Most superstar's little bros live in their shadow. To expect him to be anything close to PR just because he is the same genetics is a little unrealistic.
I'll say I wasn't a big fan of signing him but we'll see how he develops. His film was definitely overrated and his senior season was terrible. Hopefully he'll turn into a stud but I'm not getting my hopes up here. Good luck to him.

Very few of them live up to expectations though and always live in big bros shadow. Even when they're good. Would anybody seriously consider Eli on Peyton's level? No. He isn't elite and he surely isn't close to his brother's talent. He is just a rock solid NFL QB and the elite category sits with only 4 QBs in the NFL.
That almost reminds me of the hype Champ Bailey's little bro Boss had. He never lived up to expectations at Georgia, although a solid player and he was a combine warrior. A LB with 4.3 speed and wasn't even a average NFL LB. Champ Bailey is a Hall of Fame CB.

fleet-footed Aaron Murray. or stronger-armed Tyrod Taylor.
