Im not saying he isnt a good qb or that he doesnt have great moments. Dropped passes havent helped him much either. Seems like he puts a lot of air under his deep balls that cause receivers to have to adjust. That may wind up being a problem once he starts facing a better group of DBs

Why do I feel this is the actual guy that posted this immense breakdown?

Really the only thing that concerns me is that he doesn't seem to feel pressure very well at times. He has a good pocket presence, but he seems to get hit really hard a lot.

that will come with reps... one of the reasons I always thought he should have been played more last year.

that "sense" is one you develop as a QB with playing time

quote:

Im concerned that he hasnt hit any receivers deep in stride and even the short or intermediate routs he is rarely hits them in stride.

his completion % is good so he is not too far off...playing time will allow for all of the above concerns to be improved on.

I dunno about you guys.

But I'm so overwhelmed with being impressed by Mett after the last 4 years' QB production that I'm having trouble complaining about him at all.

Just keep looking at things like this:

We are a billion times better off at the position this year, than last. Perspective is needed.

I've been watching Mett pretty close, and he seems to miss his upper lip when he shaves.

Mett isn't elite like some of us thought he would be, but he is still an upgrade from the JJ/Lee years

I've seen just the opposite. His receiver screens are like handoffs; his intermediate throws are often within 5 inces of perfect. Look at the one Shep dropped; if he didn't have his hands in the way it would have hit him in the face. He's completed over 70% in every game, I think. That all sounds like deadly accuracy.
