If he has a football IQ they could send him on the field with no responsibility and let him get to ball

Troy Polamalu style

He just may not have it

He needs to be a team player and listen to coaches whatever they want to do

He can sit and watch

SC is scheming their offense right now specifically to slow him down. Kiffin will do the same in a few weeks. Our defense is worse without him on the field

Just say that you have a preconceived opinion and no amount of fact will change your mind. No one is scheming around Perkins right now unless the scheme is to run a play fake and let his eyes take him to the wrong place or to run right at him because he can't shed blocks.

Perkins is a freak athlete but he can't sort through the traffic at ILB and ends up slow to react. It takes away his best skill which is his speed. I didn't notice it as much in week 2 but as a blitzer vs USC, he ran into the looper at least 3 times. Perkins has a role and should play, just not at ILB.

If he had a high football IQ then he would run into plays every now and then. The fact that he has been mostly invisible for 2 weeks shows that he doesn't have those instincts.
