You may be right.
For whatever reason, I still like and trust Aranda and the defense. Maybe I’m wrong to do so, but I do.
My (obviously biased) prediction: LSU defense looks awesome in the SECCG and in the playoffs in “games that matter” with a title on the line.

The defense has been a disappointment most of the year, no doubt. Tackling is poor, there’s no creativity schematically, and the effort isn’t great most of the time.
It looks like some guys are just going through the motions so as to not get hurt in advance of the draft and that’s just sad.
Unlike many on the board, I don’t have all the answers, but I know what I see isn’t good and it won’t be good enough against elite offenses with mobile quarterbacks.
Glad to get the win, but there’s a lot of improvement to be made.

Some of our fans refuse to smell the smoke, they have to see the fire burning around them before they'll admit the house is burning down!
It happened with Miles and it's happening with Aranda. The decline is real and most if not all of the metrics are proving it.

I’m with you. The facts are Dave Aranda’s defense hasn’t lost us a a game since he’s been at LSU. You could argue A&M last year but that one was on the refs more than anyone.
Part of the trade off of scoring so many points is that the opponent is going balls to the wall to keep up. This defense has been ugly at times this season, but they’ve also made key stops when needed.

frick off idiot. He's a brilliant coach working with the horses he has in the stable. Just need to tweak the recruiting and get more horses. He's doing fine. Nobody could do any better.

Well considering he was part of making Aranda the highest paid DC in football for starters. I seriously doubt he will make changes after 1 bad year when lack of talent on the DL is the main culprit. I don’t see how anyone can say our DL is anywhere near good.
