Lane already started the mantra "it's just different" at LSU, might as well go independent and tell the SEC to frick off. They need us more than we need them. Other big programs would love to schedule LSU.

Financially that’s just not true. Selling your rights as a collective as far as media gets you way more money, per school, then if you sell them individually. Not to mention the built in rivalries and conference tournaments etc.
Also provides a security blanket for down years if fan interest dips.
I think what the SEC is doing is horseshite and idk how I would resolve it if I was Kiffin or Verge.
But getting kicked out of the SEC would not be a net positive for LSU and it’s an absurd emotional statement to say that it would.
