Stephanie Rempe who graduated from Arizona and current AD at Nevada (both Jay Johnsons former coaching jobs) had as much or more to do with Johnson hire than Woodward. He signed off on it obviously & hired her as his Assistant AD so he does get credit for that but she orchestrated the majority of it according to most people around the program.

Most people would get out of the way in this situation. She had a relationship with Jay. So Jay knows and trust her you absolutely let her take the lead.

Woodward was 100% responsible for Mulkey

Only thing was responsible for is going to the money people to arrange the funds and bringing it to the board of which they obvious would sign off on it. Outside of that Kim Mulkey let it be known that she wanted the job when she went on Jordy's show. She hired herself because she wanted to come home.

Actually Basketball and Football have been so bad, since Woody ran off Orgeron and Wade, I have enjoyed watching reruns of last years championship Baseball.

And if either one of those programs were making money I’d care more about the weight of the hires.

It remains that in the two money making sports he sucked. He sucked so bad he overpaid for Jimbo and BK

Some people are so thick headed they don’t understand how he rebuilt the future of athletics.

The basketball program was always a long term build. Get past the violations and set the new arena into motion.

No one has aligned the fundraising and donors as well as Woodward did. We would have sank completely out of the spotlight if Alleva had continued. Scott had his work cut out and he did a remarkable job putting us in position for long term success.

BK didn’t workout, but to say he wasn’t a splash hire at the time is naive. For that reason I understand the criticism, but Scott pulled the trigger to terminate BK and was ready to move. The governor then came in and took credit for the termination and next moves, even after criticizing Scott along the way.

Imagine being so completely oblivious to the current state of college athletics, basketball in particular, that you type these 2 sentences consecutively and think you’re an authority on the topic at hand

I mean, she is awesome but I'm so tired of hearing that is his crowning achievement. It's WBB FFS.

The dude was awful, objectively.

Alleva hired a NC winning football coach and a SEC winning Men’s Basketball coach whose team went to the sweet 16.

Think about that.

Scott was so bad that his moves make Alleva look like a genius

Mulkey has been quoted that she talked to Woodward for maybe only 20 minutes prior to her signing on with LSU, and The COO/deputy did all the legwork and communication, whoever it was at the time. Mulkey was coming here regardless and all Woodward had to do was literally sign off on the deal.

Yea I don't doubt it at all, Ive never heard any details behind the Mulkey hire, I do think they got along really well post hire. I don't think that can really be said for everyone else around LSU.
