I'm saying he has the ability to run it up there if he needs it.

Any pitcher can "run it up there", but if they can't do it consistently, I wouldn't label them as being able to throw "mid-90s".

Well he's at the end of his sophomore year, you would think he would atleast be somewhat comfortable with another pitch by now.

You're pitching development leaves a lot to be desired.

He MAY touch 95 once or twice. Also, he has no legit secondary pitch and his fastball has little to no movement.
Jacoby would rape him. HARD

I didn't say he pitched mid 90's, I said low to mid. There's a big difference.

He is comfortable throwing other pitches, they just aren't to the level they need to be yet

I just don't think he is that good. Hunter Newman (our freshman midweek guy) has more movement on his fastball and a better breaking ball.

By the way, Big Tony said Austin is pitching tomorrow.

Yea I just saw that too. I personally don't agree with that move but that's why they pay him to make the decisions and not me.

I get that you guys like Robichaux because he has been there a long time and has kept y'all at the mediocre-to-decent level for years, but I really think he is holding the program back from becoming a formidable mid-major team.

I assume since he got y'all to the first CWS in ULL history, he bought himself a 1000-year grace period?

FWIW, I think starting Austin tomorrow is the absolute right decision. Survive and advance at this point.

I like Robichaux because he is a good pitching coach, just doesn't have much to work with this year. I honestly see him stepping down at the end of next season and Matt Deggs getting the head job. If it wasn't for Deggs, the Cajuns are sitting at home right now. He's a great hitting coach and recruiter.

I honestly think y'all could be a lot like Rice with how talented Louisiana is as a whole. Robichaux has not recruited well at all though.

Yep. He's let a lot of players get away from him the last couple of years and has relied on a lot of local talent from the high schools in the area. Some have turned out to be good players but he's also passed on better players from outside the Acadiana area to offer a local kid.

So you're saying your coaching staff didn't see SHSU as a threat? To get to 2-0, you have to get to 1-0 first, chief. Dumb coaches.
