Without question LSU was not a destination job when we got Saban like it is now. The kids were not growing up huge fans of LSU football at that time for one thing. Getting kevin faulk in 1995 was a huge deal at the time. Dinardo got the door open, Saban took it to championship level.

All I heard about Bama is they were destined for permanent irrelevance if they didn't make the right hire. They made the right hire in Saban.

Well, let's say they became big name after LSU. Now I do not think CLM was much of a coach at this level at all, but they were not established BIG program names. Up and coming? Sure.
