I think LSU is smart to not go all in for 1 recruiting class like Ole Miss and others have done. While I certainly admit that we will never be a top 5 NIL spending team year in year out, we certainly will be somewhere between 7 -15 year i year out in spending. As we are seeing the failures by many teams that mirror the fairly consistent failure of half of the 5 stars to actually be good players. Just a quick look at the top ranked QB for the last 20 years is good reason not to pay huge money for a high school player, this list consist of several NFL stars, but a larger number of players that were mediocre or worse.
We have to be better at finding the diamonds in the rough and underated players. Fortuanately for us, there is always a number for Louisiana players that have fit that description for us.

Dude paying 12 million for a kid who hasn’t played a down is retarded
They can have him
I’d rather that go towards BK’s buyout

Actually we need better coaching.
You can’t also be a coach that ignores ST and want to win championships.
Hell BK should have one more loss to LSU because we scored on that fake in the bowl game. The refs bailed out his shoddy coaching.

Out of state next store to Michigan. We are going to lose. East Texas. Mississippi. Florida. We will win a lot. Different game now. Texas TAM Georgia Ohio State far more resources than LSU.

They might struggle but what if they dont and hes a stud like they say and they pulling a miami 24 run with him in 25 or 26 how sick it will be for lsu
Miami ‘24? Terrible example. They don’t have a single ranked team on their schedule. COMPLETELY different animal. Miami is a 4-5 loss team this year in the Big 10.
Michigan has a coaching staff problem. His head coach likely won’t be his head coach 2 years from now.

Congress really owns the gigantic screw up they caused with NIL. The Name Image & Likeness was originally thought to be negotiating with professionals and business to pay players to market, represent and be part of their team of influence. But saying schools too also could buy every player on the team without any limits per player was and is total insanity. Leave anything to Congress if you want more problems than solutions. Of course it is u realistic for universities (Academic Institutions) paying coaches multi millions per year and then paying g player even now more than the coach has officially insane. This why Saban left and if not fixed college football ?? will be destroyed completely. Two of the wealthiest Michigan fans in the US decided they wanted our QB and did it On one phone call with Underwood and his family. Now my son says Michigan and or other schools have basically taken away piece by piece our top recruiting class maybe in history day by day. How can this be acceptable, legal and ethical if there are no rules in place. With current rules or rather lack of rules our much loved college football ?? game is self destructing due to stupidity and insanity. Just like politicians are paid to win their office by Lobbyist, and in return Congress legislates on behalf of those who paid for their campaign (which is corruption) at its best. unfortunately this same theory is now taken over college football ??. OMG what is happening to us when Billionaires rule everything in our lives.

So the whole portal thing for LSU will be bad too?
Posted on 11/29/24 at 8:07 am to themunch
lsu is not suppose to be ole piss this is lsu you build in high school and fill the rest of the needs in the portal. this 25 class was so pivotal in the future of lsu and bk. If theu cant hold it together and theres still cracks showing do you really have confidence in bk to go get and spend big$ in portal when hes never done so before?

NIL is going to destroy college sports.
Not just football, all college sports.
Once schools start directly paying athletes, Title 9 will rear its head.
Most schools cannot afford to compete, nor do they have donors with fat wallets.
When the dust settles, you will have maybe 40 programs that will survive. The rest will either eliminate sports altogether, or will go 100% independent (no conferences) and 100% amateur.

What a curious dichotomy.

Could be worse like OK State who clearly can’t compete
