Why does MArtin "deserve" a champioship? They must be earned and there must be reasons he hasn't. Also, FSU has received some lucky breaks which is what it takes to win the big one. Ask Arkansas. The biggest flub in history belongs to them. It was hard to watch them flailing at 80 mph out of the zone with men on base or not. They had their chances. The pitcher made two outs on his own so maybe fate has sided with the Semiholes.

FSU was the worst team on paper by far last year in softball and got hot and played out there arse and won it. It does happen.

It's not a sentimental thing to me.
When it comes to Martin, I respect the pioneers of the sport that built college baseball into what it is today.
For the salaries in the sport when Martin started to now is all due to guys like him who had to fight for any support they could get.
Back then the TV money wasn't there and he and his players had to tend to the field and pull the tarps and all the little things that they had no support for.
Now, look around and you see the growth of the sport and how far it's come.
ESPN took a chance on televising CWS back in the 80's when no one else would have.
Despite all that there is still a lot that could be done from more schollies to another paid assistant, not volunteer.
It's Martin that has fought all these things for 40 years and without the trailblazers college baseball might not have existed as we know it today.

Florida State & Auburn will do like they always do in Omaha .... Crash and burn. I'm surprised FSU won their first game out there. And I still don't know how in God's name they swept us.
