We had a hell of a run this year. This team dominated everyone except Alabama. 07 was fun but that team was not as special as this years. We needed a little luck and few calls in 07. This year we just took it to everyone game after game and then the wheels fell off when it mattered most. Made me sick to watch our offense play so poor. I guess when you put the best d against an o that can not get out of its own way the result should be the first shut out in the BCS era. With that said we were still in it till last half of the fourth quarter. It took a perfect game and a little luck for Bama to win. They had one penalty...... One. On the long punt return by Maze it sure looked like a block in the back on the gunner who was there to make tackle. McCarron was lights out and no one saw that coming. He made some throws and the wide outs made some catces that looked like highlights of a saints game. No way McCarron throws another pass like the one he threw over the honey badger with the wide out going out of bounds. OBJ was just inches from catching the ball that the safety made a late break on. That safety misses and it's a 70 yard score and we are right back in it. I'm pretty sure they played their best game and we played our worse. Was it coaching? Nerves? Momentum? The Want? All of the above? Maybe it was just the perfect storm? I do love our coach who is full of the desire compete and dominate his opponent. He will continue to bring in top recruits and coaches. The tigers will continue to be among the elite in college football. I can not think of a better coach/man I would rather see leading them.

Thank you. There will be no more questions. Have a great day.

That is what you are not getting, is that this is not just one game. This has probably been boiling under the surface since the first half of the Ark game. Look a lot of people got blasted on here when they said that bringing JJ back was a mistake and would eventually cause locker room problems. Problems were avoided (and LSU's offense probably looked its absolute best in 3 years) when JL was starting and JJ was playing spot situtions (see UF and Auburn games for examples). However, when it became clear that Miles was going to exclusively go to JJ, the locker room clearly fell apart, regardless of the exact details, this was clearly a divided locker room in New Orleans.

ETA: The fallout we are seeing with the WR's is evidence of that division.

I know it was the game and it stings even worse having AL and Saban pouring salt into the would. I just don't get the meltdown. Games like this will happen. It could have been an Iowa St or Texas Tech eleminating our chances. We lost to an opponent that many already thought was better team and they played as close to a perfect game as you will ever see.

BS. 07 saw SEC West, SEC, and BCS championships. This year was the lesser 2 of those. I would rather the BCS title over the great 13-0 run. I would trade the division and conference championship for the BCS.

Any year with a NC>any year without NC.

I said this in another post:

I'm not one of the people saying fire Miles, we're gonna suck next season and all that other garbage. I'm the last Tiger fan that would say that.

I love Miles to death and am a big defender of his.

That said though, I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it's how we lost. We looked awful, offensively. Playing like shite would've been an improvement at QB. The OL looked the worst they've looked all season.

Considering who is on the OL, that is unacceptable. I can take a loss but to get blown out?? We looked completely inept offensively. That's what's got me so irritated. We are way, way better than that.

Sorry about the personal shot at you, btw. Just still venting. No hard feelings.
