I felt like he was our most explosive back with the best playmaking ability last year, but he never got consistent carries.

He has good vision and was physical for his size. He definitely had quicker feet than TDP, but he’s not in the same class as Goodwin or Emery when it comes to speed and home run ability. He’s a good back, but I wouldn’t call him explosive.

Would have rather kept McGlothern. He already has a pick today.

Explosive is not a word that should be used to describe Kiner

Are you guys high? As a freshman he was plenty fast. He looked better than Goodwin last year?

Was he?

Goodwin was hurt most of the year. But he’s bulked up, and I think will wind up being the better of the 2 backs. Though his production might not show it as he’ll be splitting more carries and, obviously going up against much better defenses.

Nope. They are just better judges of talent then you are.

I would say he was plenty shifty, but not necessarily super fast. Kind of like Mark Ingram.

Always felt like watching his HS film he didn't have the next step explosion to be a top tier SEC back. Workhorse for sure but he looked extremely slow even in HS despite the numbers he put up. Guys would run him down from behind so I can't imagine that would be better in the SEC. He didn't seem like a guy that will ever bust you an 80 yard run in the SEC because he didn't have next level speed. Goodwin though, I've always been convinced looking at his film he's going to be a stud in SEC. Compact, fast, powerful.

Clearly he was buried which is why he left. Goodwin likely would've got the bulk of the carries last year had he not got hurt early.

He looked better than Goodwin because he was playing hurt.

Kiner was a decent back. He just didn't quite have the juice that we are accustomed to at RB. I suspect Cain is a very similar back to him. Hope Cain plays well tho.
