It is difficult to make comparisons, but is this the best LSU team ever?

I think that there is no question that this is the best LSU offense and probably the best SEC offense ever and it is not close.
The defense has now rounded nicely into shape in line with what most expected from them all year. If they win it all, I'd like to know what college team is better.

Most likely is the best LSU team ever. If we beat OU, I think it’s clear as day. Winning the title this year will make them one of the best teams of all time.

I would love to see this team play 2011 and 2006 in a round robin.
To me those are the best three teams I've ever witnessed in a tiger uniform. That 2006 team was two ref screw jobs (@Auburn and @ Florida with some horrid calls) from being undefeated.
2011 probably comes up short, but that defense against this offense would be beautiful to watch.

LSU has a great team and everything seems to be falling into place.
Coach Orgeron is a breath of fresh air in college coaching. His relationship with Joe Burrow is special - they both owe the other and they are not afraid to let the public know it.
Coach Orgeron is also a true gentlemen. He did not lobby for number one. He does not seem to worry about the media. He is respected by his players.
I am a little surprised (actually not) about the media's lack of enthusiasm for LSU. A quarterback and Heisman candidate without a hint of scandal and a clean coach - what more do they want?
I hope that LSU is the team of destiny that I think it is.

Could be the best and most accomplished college FB team of all times.

Burrow is playing unconscious. I have little doubt that they will finish it. It will be rich to humiliate Jalen Hurts.
