With LSU? Wow, didn't realize that. Thanks!

Yes at LSU. His teams are 1 for 2 in his tenure at LSU. It would have been 2 for 3 since we were a lock to make it in 2020.

And that's after taking over for the worst team in the SEC and one of LSU's worst teams ever.

WTF? Yet another one. Where are all of these trolls coming from?

Louisiana State University

Stand by your man as long as you want to, but he hasn't won a single NCAA tournament game yet at LSU. He was caught cheating almost as soon as he arrived on campus. Not a good look. No excuses please.

I hope this is sarcasm because if it wasn’t that was by far the dumbest post of 2020

Considering the abomination of a program he took over, winning enough to qualify for the NCAA tournament 2 out of his 3 years, winning the SEC in year 2 and finishing 2nd in year 3 is damn near a miracle. Reasonable expectations were for him to just win enough to make an NCAA tournament in year 3 or 4. He's surpassed any reasonable expectations by a mile.

If he still has 0 NCAA tournament wins after 4 years, unacceptable.

What do Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Steve Kerr have in common?

So to be legendary someone has to coach and succeed at the NBA (professional) level?

Are Coach K, Adolph Rupp, Dean Smith, or John Wooden not all legendary figures of the game?

What about people like Skip Bertman, Nick Saban, Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, etc.? Are they not all legendary figures in their respective sports?

None of them ever coached or had any success at the professional level of coaching and are legends b/c of what they did as college coaches.

Your argument is idiotic and made even more so by the fact that you try to make some lame attempt at cutting him off at the knees and saying Wade can never be a good coach b/c he didn't play the sport he coaches. If anything it is more impressive the fact that he has managed to work his way up to being a high major Div. 1 college coach at such a young age and was named one of the best coaches under 40 without ever having played the game.

No, Wade doesn't have the resume of these coaches - yet - but he is only 37 years old! Coach K was an HC for 11 years (6 at Duke) before even making his first Final 4, which was also the same about of time it took for him to win his first conference championship. It wasn't for 16 years and till he was 44 that he won his first championship.

Quit being a dumb troll!

So he has 3 more years to achieve this, right? He's only been given the opportunity to win an NCAA tournament game in one season that he's coached at LSU.

In his first 3 years at Duke, Coach K was...

17-13
10-17
11-17

His teams weren't ranked once during the season in those years.

Coach K - played for Bob Knight at West Point
Adolph Rupp - played at Kansas
Dean Smith - played at Kansas
John Wooden - played at Purdue

I'm not so sure about that. That MSU team outclassed us from whistle to whistle. If it was a tighter game, I'd agree that the coach could help but the better team won that game.

Everyone got free tickets to those games. The school actually paid me and my friends to attend.

Yes, you are an idiot as are your arguments.

Learn some reading comprehension and to follow your own argument. You originally stated that he is not legendary and would never be because he is only a college coach and proceeded to list only NBA coaches as examples. So my retort was...
quote:

Are Coach K, Adolph Rupp, Dean Smith, or John Wooden not all legendary figures of the game?

What about people like Skip Bertman, Nick Saban, Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, etc.? Are they not all legendary figures in their respective sports?

None of them ever coached or had any success at the professional level of coaching and are legends b/c of what they did as college coaches.

And yes, all those coaches did play the game, which is why I also stated...

If anything it is more impressive the fact that he has managed to work his way up to being a high major Div. 1 college coach at such a young age and was named one of the best coaches under 40 without ever having played the game.

Learn to read and understand what you are reading before replying.

Better yet, do us all a favor and quit posting altogether.

Well, I do it for a living; so I should.

not much about basketball

Well I'll be damned. Guess I'll have to let my over 20 years of playing and coaching the sport know that.

And how does knowing about basketball have anything to do with being able to look at what Wade has accomplished thus far in his career despite not having played the sport?

But congrats again on not being able to directly address or refute the merits of an argument; but instead moving the goalpost or resorting to throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks.

Title game moron. A thousand teams make the tournament, like we shouldn't be doing that with our talent every year. You have the Les Miles mentality.

This is the first time you've mentioned anything other than simple tournament appearances. He took over the worst team in the league and has only had ONE opportunity to win an NCAA game and you're talking about title games.

It's actually 68.

And we have done enough to do that outside of his first year after taking over the worst team in the conference.

That's because our previous coach was worse than an unplugged lamp.
