I guess low "b" students didn't learn about a bell curve.

Saban's is .852 at Alabama with 3 national titles going on his fourth. We leave two on the table (2011-2012) because Elmer Fudd.

I realize all the Miles fan's pushing this 80% number. Why settle for that? It's a low 'B.'
In Baseball 40% ---- i.e. .400 batting average is the Ultimate. Only once or twice in the history of the game has a player hit .400 for the season.
In terms of CFB winning percentage --- CLM's "80%" is Very Damn Good. So shut up dumb butt.
Know the game before you try to play. LSU has played football for well over 100 years and has had numberous head football coaches. Les Miles has been the fastest to reach each and every significant milestone and he's continuing on that pace --- so whether YOU want to admit it or not -- in the modern era of "facilities arms races", super recruiting, and big boys separating themselves from the rest of the pack --- Les Miles is right up there with the very best.

Top 10 recruiting classes every year. At least 1 recruiting class ranked #1 - another #1 class potentially this year.
Top winning percentage for his tenure in school history.
Tops at LSU in number of SEC and National Championship appearances --- and it is no stretch to say that Les will get LSU back to the SEC and National Championship games.
So, YES -- he is among the best coaches in CFB.
Only idiots refuse to recognize how good he is and focus soley on his faults --- at the same time they seem to forget the faults of our former coach when he was here and put him on a pedestal as unequivocal. Yet, Les Miles has a 3-3 record head to head in regular season games --- and no other coach has beaten Nick Saban at Alabama as often.

Les is a good coach but his players do not respect him and that is shown on the field week in and out by the effort they give on the field from week to week. I'd rather him be a respected dictator like Saban and demand results than be their buddy.

You jackasses can spout %80 till your faces turn blue. I don't give two shits about % 80. 1 fricking 9 man. 1/9. You know, the biggest game of his career that he didn't even attempt to win. He just stood there on the sideline looking like a lost child a the county fair. He did absolutely nothing to prepare for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game. Nothing. He was outmatched by a damn mile. And don't give me that shite about Saban being able to outclass anybody because in the next post you'll try to tell me that Miles is the only one who consistently competes with him.
Yeah, I'm still mad. And no, he hasn't gotten any better. And he's not going to get get any better. I doubt we'll ever see the College Football Playoff much less the SEC Championship during his tenure. I don't think he really cares either. But YAY for your magical %80 number.

Get over it. Like people have said. You go ahead and start a movement to have him fired. The odds of finding the right coach and being as successful as Saban at BAMA, which is what you want, or as successful as Miles has been is slim. You're more than likely finding someone that will run the program into the ground.
I'd rather keep a coach that is capable of winning conference championships and playing for national titles instead of HOPING you find someone just as good.
Then if you don't find someone, you set the program back 3-4 years by losing recruits, learning new systems, etc etc etc. THEN you add another 3-4 years if the guy doesn't work out and you have to HOPE to find someone as successful.
But you guys are so blinded and envious of BAMA, you can't look past what's on the surface at this point.

Here I was thinking Ty Cobb was the best career hitter at 36.6% but now I realize that's really crappy because on a grading scale that'd be an F-.
Silly me...comparing apples to apples.
ETA: Actually there's only one coach who ever graded an "A" using a standard 10 point scale... LINK

I just read your entire post because I didn't get past your childish temper tantrum but it obviously got worse.
Can you be anymore of a childish bitch?
Posted on 10/27/13 at 9:09 am to Prominentwon
I guess not. I don't see how you can say he's still a good coach after a refusal to make adjustments game after game and year after year.
You can call me a childish bitch all you want. It doesn't bother me. I'm not going to change my mind. He started to lose me on 1/9 and lost me completely last weekend. I'm not jumping back on the bandwagon because of fricking Furman. I'm done defending the man. That doesn't make me a bad fan. If calling me a bad fan and a childish bitch makes you feel better about your blind allegiance to the man then have it.

Ok so what do you want? What do you think LSU should do? Who should they hire?

...I'll wait on your 100% foolproof plan that will no doubt work in LSUs favor.
