Is Will Wade just another version of Coach O?

Both can recruit and get talent to BR, but neither is trustworthy with in-game X's & O's. And both depend on surrounding themselves with elite bench coaches/coordinators.
Not saying both need to go, but I see a lot of similarities between the two head coaches. At least Alleva was consistent...

Will Wade wins an NCAA championship if he’s like Coach O.

No, coach O won it all

Orgeron is far superior to WW... much more complex and visible role.
Our basketball team.. athletic. More actual SEC basketball level talent up and down the roster... on offense and defense looks like an AAU team.
The lack of spacing on the inbounds play. And throwing the ball in directly under the goal. Are two things you learn in 8th grade.
We played a better game ... having Leblanc and Sharif in the rotation stops us from getting completely ruined on the boards
We give the freshman Big no minutes in any games... why would any Big come to LSU.
Whatever... comparing WW to Orgeron is completely ridiculous.

We don’t need some elite assistant coach. I’d be perfectly fine bringing in a local 5th grade coach to teach our guys proper defensive techniques, help side defense and how to block out

Will Wade isn’t one of us. He was born in Tennessee.

Wade isn't much of a coach, but he certainly knows more about x's and o's than Coach O does. However, I'd say Coach O is much better CEO than wade. Coach O has a much better local recruiting ground than Wade does. On the surface they look similar, I would say they're much more different than it seems.

I hope. A basketball national championship is on my Bucket List and I'm running out of time.
When I was sixty, it seemed as if I would never live to see another football championship. Then Saban was hired.

You meant he was like Les miles. He did win one, but the later part of his time at LSU

No coach O is actually better

Agree. Don’t understand why he is not playing. Also gray needs to play.

What’s ridiculous is people compare and will wait to coach oh. One can actually coach A particular side of the game in offense while the other one has to hire 15 assistance and consultants to help him. Unfortunately for Wade he is missing only one thing with this offense and defense - a true point guard.
We all bitched and moaned when Brady was coaching because his teams lacked offense. We all want to see a track meet on the floor. Now we had that and people be at your mouth. Maybe the guys he’s recruited don’t have the basketball IQ to do the things necessary for a full game. We have seen shades of them playing excellent on defense and then they turn around and look like crap. It doesn’t mean that they’re not being taught. It just means that they lose focus throughout the game. A true point guard would be able to break down the other teams defense and get you where you need to go.
Every great LSU basketball team has always had a point guard that could break you down and lead you to victories. Why do you think the teams failed when Chris Jackson was the point guard? He could not do what you asked of him from a leadership perspective. As great of a player and point guard as he was he was not a leader. Part of the reason he had issues was due to the personalities that was on that team and Dale Brown’s inability to manage them.
When you don’t have a true point, you can make it work with teams that have older players with great chemistry such as the 2008 and 2009 team that had temple and Thornton the two combined made that team great from a back court perspective because temple can guard anyone and Thornton can store on anyone and both capacitor ball pretty good to control the game. Both of those guys were seniors. You’re not going to do that with the Thomas and smart. You just don’t have the chemistry.
Darrell Mitchell, Ethan Martin, Tre Waters, Derrick Taylor.
So look at my list and notice no CJ or Pete. Two of my most favorite all-time players ever and All-time great. The other guys on that list were leaders in every aspect of the word. They were coaches on the floor. And I love Pete more than anyone else. But Pete had issues that cost his teams games.

Not even close. Hate Coach O all you want, but he has a title, and Wade will never come even close. My faith is almost gone in Wade I don't think he has it as a coach.
