Because of having professional coaching at an early age due to dad he likely peaked early…unlike the previous regime, Kelly was wise to not let them dictate terms to us and put all our eggs in his basket

What exactly was he trusting with lane?
And what did lane promise Simmons?
The simmons kid is a freshman and also plays baseball.
Lane, just like any coach is going to tell players that they have a shot. He’s only going to say that to guys who actually have a shot. Just like any coach.
The real question is whether or not Lane is to be trusted to put the best player on the field. From what I gather, Lane is going to put the best player on the field.
Then the question is whether or not Howard deserves to be 2nd string? If he does then I fully expect that Lane would have him scheduled as 2nd string.
