If we lose Treydez and don't get a great QB, will the optimism be tampered?

No. A solid QB is a must have.

He's on LSU's Nike deal. He already signed what are you talking about? They were trying to get Berry on the Blue Ribbon deal too. Green and Pickett are already on there.

He isn’t going anywhere. Lane knows what this guy will do in his offense. He’s a walking mismatch for the NFL, much less college. It’s just the usual bullshite that the reality of the game now. He will get a pay bump and be back.

Green would be dumb to leave Lane bc Lane will make him a lot of money next year

20-year-old football players are not always thinking about their long-term future

He hasn’t entered the portal. There were reports stating the staff was fighting to keep him from entering it.

He is not Kyle Pitts 2.0. He’s .75 at best.

He’s been underpaid the last two seasons, now he wants to be made whole

This is ridiculous.

He's just starting to round in to being a football player and something more than a freakish athlete. He had a couple of games this year when he looked really good. The rest he still looked awkward, like a player still getting his feet under him. Next year is the year he should take a huge step. The best place for him to do that is LSU.

I don't see LSU giving him more money. It's an easy conversation. "Hey, we're trying to get help getting you the ball and keeping you open. Without that, you're pretty much useless to us."

LSU will 100% have to pay him more to keep him. It is 2026 now! Not even debatable.

Are we paying a QB 40 mill? If not, we have money to pay literally the best player on offense.

Some of you are fricking ridiculous.

Look at it this way, all the playoff teams on TV today got where they did without Traydez Green. Would we like him to stay? Of course. If he holds out or makes absurd demands, then move on.

I don't think the Nike deal was for very much.

This is no a charade.
It’s now a business. And Green would be foolish to leave money on the table.
He likely wants to stay at LSU, but wants to get paid something near what the market will pay him
If you are advising the kid, you advise him to do exactly this to get the money right.
Under the circumstances, I see nothing sinister or disloyal about it.
LSU fans are so stupid, they would let the best offensive player walk because he wants more money. I seem to believe Nuss was paid 3rd round pick money to come back another year. Green would'nt require half that.

I don't think people understand that deals 2 years ago to skill players out of high school was not that high, especially TEs. LSU fans aren't spending any money so why do we care?. We were okay with Kiffin getting a king's ransom. We got 2 coordinators totalling 5.5 fricking million, but your best offensive player can't get paid?

He didn’t. But it’s well known that top players are looking for more money. Similar to how Harlem Berry never said he was entering the portal but it was a story when it was announced that he signed a new deal. Majority of these players would like more money, especially the good ones.
