I think I can gin up as much hate for Texas as I do for Bama. And we should beat Texas. I call that a win.

As long as LSU keeps winning they really don't have much to worry about as far the super conference goes. If they're winning then the cool kids in state will come and it will remain the cool thing to do. As the only big time program in one of the most talent rich states, that built in advantage isn't going to be affected as long as LSU keeps winning.

Simple answer NOPE!!!

Recruiting is the life’s blood of a college football program, not only did our recruiting of Texas just got immensely more difficult now that you will have Texas and OU as part of the SEC recruiting in that state. It also makes it more difficult by some degree as OU and Texas will now be able to try and poach Louisiana players because they are in the SEC.

It hurts on all fronts in recruiting, and doesn’t help our recruiting at all.

So you tell me, how is this a positive? Oh yeah cause we will get more money! So it hurts our recruiting but we get paid more, see where this is headed? All about the dough rae me fellas!

Kids leave Texas all the time to play for OU. Some kids want a new experience and LSU is not far. We'll be OK in recruiting. And btw it's not like we've been tearing it up recruiting in Texas lately. We'll probably continue to get the same amount of commitments. Going to hurt A$M a lot more. jmo

Is it good for LSU in the short term? Sure, if profit is your metric. Long term? Good for what I love about college football? Almost certainly not. But thems the breaks in the gilded age we're living in.

Really? So how does that comment explain the fact that the state of Texas has the second most amount of players on the LSU team? Obviously Louisiana is number one.

Texas is a vital state for LSU in recruiting, and it just got immensely more difficult to recruit in.

LSU will always be tougher, more physical & w/ better athletes than those 3 soft schools. It's just in the makeup of how they grow up.

If OU and Texas does come to SEC.

I can see Big 10 poaching West Virginia, Iowa St. Maybe Kansas or K State. Hell they might go after Cincinnati because of classic location to Ohio St.

Or West Virginia will head to ACC.

Baylor might go to Conference USA.

Texas Tech and Ok State might flirt with Pac 12 ??

Hate It!!!!!!! LSU will end up in the SEC Far West. It socks. I'd rather play Bama every year than TX and Okla.

Forget recruiting for a minute. These assclowns have wrecked every conference they've been a part of, and they'll certainly try to do the same with the SEC once they realize they can't win.

No one gets it, at the end of the day he who holds the gold will rule. I will not believe we have a kid playing for LSU till you see him run out the tunnel. No one in the SEC can compete with the dollars the Texas teams will throw at these kids to get them to come. Sorry to say LSU will not compete with the Texas schools, USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon and all those schools with big money donors, 3 star kids cannot compete with 5 stars. HE WHO HOLDS THE GOLD RULES, gone are the days of kids dreaming about playing for anyone but the green. One day soon there will be about ten teams competing the natty, it will be the same teams every year. Sorry to say A&M, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, the money schools, Bama cannot hang with those teams when it comes to bidding war for a 17 year old kid. There will be the few players it will not affect but most kids have nothing and will be a object that will go to the highest bidder.

This was my point exactly. Unless pod systems employ playing everyone with 9 game schedules, Lsu is basically in the Big 8 or SWC(whatever you wanna call it). Lsu will continue to be successful.

To note, I can’t believe Oklahoma wants to do this. They came walk to conf championships and plenty of 4 seed playoff placements. That will dramatically decrease

Every change in CFB has been a positive for LSU.

Think BCS and 4 team playoffs.

Expanded conference and expanded playoffs will also be a positive for LSU.

Texas, Ok, and A&M is easier to handle than Bama, Fla, Auburn

This is absolutely true but also just as much boring. Imagine the game day atmosphere of a Bama,UF,Aub game and now imagine it for the next 5 seasons of playing and beating these scrubs. We will become the new UGA. Other division will be battle tested and we’ll have a cake walk to the ship game. That will be what hurts LSU just like it does UGA now.

There will probably be a renewed effort to make this happen again.
