What's his record since 2007 against the Top 25 and SEC Big Boys

7-7 and 5-6, respectively. It's not fantastic, but it's servicable given the myriad of issues we had in 2008, 2009, and in many games this year.

I was very impressed/surprised with the win against Bama.

Still would like to see Crowton gone and Miles bring in a good OC.

If that happened they could be even better next year.

Barring a total collapse Miles should be back unless he leaves on his own. A loss to Ole Miss though is pretty much unacceptable so he needs to win that game to keep the fans/momentum on his side.

one thing is for sure. We have seen what the offense is capable of. There is NO more EXCUSES. Call the right plays, play the right players.

I have never wanted miles gone. but i came real close this year. He needs to blow the doors off of ulm and ole miss. And beat arkansas. And his future will be sealed here

Totally agreed.

I do like Les and can't think of anyone better that would be stupid enough to take this $4Mil job.

Nope...He's the best coach of all time. Why would you even ask that question?

There are people aon both sides of this issue whose analysis makes no sense whatsoever.( I know, what's new?).
I actually like Miles, consider him a class act, a top recruiter, and a coach the players really like, on the whole.
He is also a deeply flawed HC, organizer, game manager, and his personal loyalty has created huge performance issues (Malveto, Crowton).
He authored some memorably bad performances against weak competition, just as he deserves huge credit for memorable wins like Ala and Fla.
On balance, For what he is paid, he's too inconsistent, disorganized and fails to get the full potential from his players, IMO.

All the love seems to be coming from one win and Bama may wind up 8-4.
Maybe, but if that happens, it's because LSU ended their season and made their goals disappear. We will see how well Saban can motivate his team now that all they have to play for is the 3rd or 4th best bowl at the end of the year. Miles has gotten bashed for losing games after Bama has ended our chances of winning anything meaningful the last couple years. We will see how Saban does in the same situation. With the talent and senior QB bama has, there is no reason they should lose 4 games. When we lost 4 games after a championship season, we were playing an underclassman QB with little to no starting experience.

I don't want to lose Les Miles. There are others who want to lure him away. That includes Colorado and the Dallas Cowboys. Do you truly expect that the next coach at LSU would post a better record than Miles'?

We suffered the past couple of seasons at QB. That's because the loss of Ryan Perriloux caused Les and GC to have to throw inexperienced JL and JJ to the wolves! They are getting better, and I believe that the QB play will be considered a strength for LSU's offense at this time next year. Whether that's because a new QB like Mettenberger beats out the current pair, or the current pair continue to improve performance, I don't know.

I've heard names like Gary Patterson and Jim Harbaugh thrown around. They are enjoying the process of building and maintaining great programs. Why would they leave, and what do you think one of them would cost to hire? How do you think they would fare in the SEC while installing their systems? Can they recruit like Les Miles?

Miles has posted the highest winning percentage ever at LSU, and the recruiting seems to be getting just better and better.

The grass only looks better on the other side of the fence. You boys had better stay home and enjoy the grass that Les enjoys!!!

I like his character, integrity and his pride in his team. I like that the players love him. I like his record. He has managed time much better in games of late. He didn't employ those two timeouts before halftime because he felt like LSU was in position to win, as it was. In hindsight, I agree with his decision to not risk doing anything that would hurt JJ's or JL's confidence before opening the offense up in the second half.

I think LFM is a genious!! Let's keep him if we can!!

I am not jumping on bandwagon, Miles plays the game based off the high percentage choice, his style of play is more for Big 10 football, not the best style to use 5 star wide recruits, He is having a great season, but we are only a couple of plays away from being atleast a 3 loss team.

That can be said for just about every team at the top of the SEC standings every year.

I have never wanted Miles gone and my posting record will stand for it. Have given many reasons for him to stay. Now, I haven't had a lot of faith in Miles and am still in limbo about it. One game doesn't automatically replace three seasons worth of problems, but has given me more hope than in the past.

You know damn well a lackluster game vs ULM is going to become a reactionary nightmare on here.

MYSELF.

I just want him to do his job to the ability of $4 mil a year. It was a great game vs. Bama. We should have the 2nd and third string in the game by the 2nd quarter against ulm IMO. You have a certain Goal you can NOW achieve as a team. Focus on that Les. Ole MISS is NO picnic and the game against Arkie will be HUGE.

I think it would just be easier on everyone to get rid of some fans..
Cheaper, would accomplish more anyways.

I'll take a much smaller buyout than Les, and you'll never hear from me again.

Honestly, people shouldn't change their mind based on one game.

If you've been part of the "fire Miles" contingency, you should probably still feel that way. Miles and company just provided some evidence to sway you, but it'll probably take more.

Auburn could have been a 3 loss team at this point, but they aren't. Quit trying to turn wins into losses.
