Obvious that Brady was leaving and the whole negotiating talk was a diversion. But is there any reason Coach O needs to replace him quickly for an assistant? Pick the right fit

Need to know if E plans to stay. Is he done at 61? Going out on top?

Who is great at developing QBs?

We just had perfection....its a tough position going forward

For recruiting wouldn’t hurt to have someone in place to show recruits who it will be and let them know that the offense isn’t changing.

1. No rush

2. I suspect there are targets in mind ( maybe already in house). O knew it was unlikely to be a long time with Brady and had a list of possibilities.

I had never heard of Brady before. So, it may be someone I never heard of again. But, THIS is the LSU offense. It was O’s decision to have this offense. Someone will continue with this offense

We have Munoz who can continue the drills and film work with the Qian’s and WRs/backs. No urgency at all. Munoz might be the guy for this.

Recruits notice this move and continuity among the staff is essential.
Its impossible to assume that we get "the best". The fact that Munoz has been here for 2 years and Brady for 1 gives O and E a very good indication of how Munoz reacted to this new scheme. O knows best in this case so let's see what happens. It should be decided quickly.

I believe the recruiting issue is muted a bit because of the early signing period. Most of the offense has already signed ( including 2 QBs). It can affect the RB recruit LSU wants. But, it isn’t as critical as it used to be for recruiting.

LSU and Coach O knew that Brady wasn’t staying around LSU forever. I am sure a replacement is already in mind - perhaps already associated with the team.

i remember under Miles we wouldn't officially hire new guys until after NSD b/c the HC would get extra in-home visits

so as long as he's not making an OC decision that will change the offense and allow other coaches to negatively recruit against us, he should probably wait

Understanding the offense and know when to call certain plays from the new offense are two different things
I am confident E knows the first. Where Brady came into play was the latter

I’m sure it’s already been discussed for a while on what the offseason changes might be. Right now you finish recruiting before you announce any changes. Then you have a few more weeks to finalize it all before practice starts back. The offensive system isn’t changing but the execution of it will be nearly impossible to replicate. Brennan has the advantage over everyone to take over so let’s hope he can dedicate himself to becoming the greatest player he can be and hopefully a leader for this team.

From what I understand, Joe Brady had an assistant who is also from the Saints. The assistant is still at LSU.

OK FKN STOP. Brady promised coach O one year. We knew this from day one. He has been shadowed by Munoz all season because of this. They have been in each others pocket from day one. "E" has been in school learning the wrinkles since day one. We have the play book and philosophy. We have asked "WHY" when he done things and called certain plays. These guys are professionals. They got what we needed and now he will always be a support consultant and a phone call away. This isn't the tragedy everyone thinks. Brennan has had one year exposure as well. This will all translate to the field well next season.

Well Ensminger has the offense still.

What he'll need to replace is someone who can talk to Myles during the game to see what the defense is showing on the field while Slinger is putting plays together.

Its funny how tRant thinks Brady is taking his plays with him and LSU can't use them. lol

Coaches trade playbooks all the time. Rex Ryan gave Saban his Jets defensive playbook.
