Let's supposed a guy who quarterbacked the Detroit Lions for ten years and now does their radio broadcasts went to Ohio State and so did his wife and he had three sons. The oldest went to Ohio State, the middle went to Michigan State and the youngest went to Ohio State. The three sons went to the University of Michigan's biggest rivals. Would that mean that the family hates the University of Michigan? And if they did who cares. You'd expect people who went to those schools to view Michigan as a rival and yes dislike or maybe hate them.

well to be fair, they do hate LSU, but not more than the average Ole Miss fan. Take it from an LSU fan who goes to Ole Miss, EVERY Ole Miss fan hates LSU. Also, Ole Miss during Archie's playing years and LSU had some awesomely competitive and/or intense games.
This. They are fundamentally an Ole Miss family. I don't think they "hate" LSU on a personal level, but do you guys honestly think they're fans? Why would they be? Because Archie played for the Saints and settled in NO?
This is, as one poster pointed out, much ado about nothing.

I usualy do not answer foolish threads like this, but I think the Mannings do not hate anyone or anything.

No. I've never heard of any. In fact, I seem to recall that although neither Peyton nor Eli made any official visits to LSU, we recruited both of them and the interactions between the Mannings and the LSU staff were friendly. I doubt they hate LSU, although of course they pull for Ole Miss (and presumably Tennessee) when they play us.

Why do people speculate on this shite, its true, wtf, they do not like LSU, no they did not visit LSU. I stopped bringing up LSU anytime I was over there, i would just get laughed at by all of them.

I really don't think these people hate LSU. They are just not LSU fans. Doesn't mean they hate LSU. There are people out there that just don't care one way or the other. I know it is hard for some of you to believe, but not everyone likes LSU. Not everyone likes any team. Some people don't care. I don't care much for the Manning's. I understand they are very good people, good for N.O. and some people love them to death. I don't hate them, just don't really care either way. Bout all I enjoy is some of Peyton's commercials. They are pretty funny. So as an LSU fan, who cares what the Manning's think or don't think of LSU.

People give a shite because they feel Eli should have gone to LSU, but who the frick wants to play for Curley?

...Well, is there any proof that the Mannings like LSU?
Archie, his wife and all 3 of his sons when given the choice, chose not to attend LSU.
Archie only connection to Louisiana has been that he was drafted by an NFL team and has been drawing a salary.
So, nobody can prove anything...so we are all even.

Peyton would've played for Curley. Eli would've played for Gerry and mostly Saban. Not that this makes any of this worth a shite, but just pointing that out.

I'm not saying they hate LSU, but they have no reason to be LSU fans.
This goes back to Archie. He was from Miss. and went to Ole Miss. OLe Miss was once a much better team Nationally. Ole Miss and LSU were rivals like Auburn and Alabama are now. LSU and Ole Miss fans genuinely HATED each other. In 1969, Archie cost LSU a shot at the National Championship when he led Ole Miss in a come back to defeat LSU. THe Tigers finished 9-1, with the only loss to Ole Miss. LSU fans really disliked Archie when he was at Ole Miss, in particular because he was 3-1 against LSU (I think).
So the Mannings have no reason to like LSU.

The Mannings have never publicly said they hate LSU...that's your answer. Everything else is just hearsay
And sour grapes because they didn't send their kids to LSU. Which there was no reason to to begin with.

My Aunt Sabel, who lives in N.O., used to know them fairly well. I met them a couple times when I was between the ages of 12-14. Archie, in front of a bunch of Tulane fans, did trash LSU for many reasons. I think most of what he said was about the administration and coaches. All I heard was "hate LSU," though. Anyway, Peyton seemed like a nice guy. Elie was a little prick (he was around 8-10).
This happened around a bunch of N.O. socialites and Catholic men of the church. There were no EPSN, CBS, ABC cameras around, so I guess this isn't public, huh?

Bull - Eli would have played all four years for Saban/Fisher. All facts point to the fact that being an Ole Miss family, the Mannings hate Ole Miss. I just hate them back to even it out.
