Is there any chance for ABS in college baseball next year?

It's a matter of money. Not every team / league can afford the cost of that equipment.

Wouldn't be shocked to see it in SEC games and possibly for the NCAAT/Omaha next year but doubt we see it nation-wide. Way too many tiny schools that don't have the budget for that

I can see them continuing to do it in SECT, implementing for SEC games in the near future (maybe not 2027; 2028 though?)....and the NCAA mandating it for the NCAAT maybe by 2030 if you want to be a host site.
I think the reality is it wont be implemented any time soon on a mass scale due to cost being way too prohibitive for most schools. Almost everyone runs their baseball program at a notable loss and this adds significant cost as of now to that. It should get cheaper over time.

Is it that much different than the challenge system now in place for all schools. They got that in pretty quick. Everyone has cameras everywhere now. I may be wrongly assuming the ABS works from a camera.

I'd hope they would allow the pre-conference tournaments that are hosted in MLB, MILB, and Spring Training sites to use it.
It would be a good introduction to a bunch of conferences to have test cases for implementation.
