It's just a side thought, and probably way off base at that, but all this emphasis on LSU/Lane...could it be the SEC is seeing the possibility of too much influence and attention we are getting and the SEC worries about their ability to control any narrative? If so, they flex their muscle to try to keep us in our place?

Conspiracy theory. The SEC and Lane are in cahoots and know the only way to rein in what CFB is becoming is to have a lightning rod like Lane act as fake opposition to get massive public sentiment on the side of the conferences/ncaa.

We haven’t seen any kind of line in the sand with all this bullshite for years now until this.

No. It's a "right and wrong" issue. We all scream the game has changed for the worse. Others want to draw a line and stop some of the madness on this issue. It's not an anti-LSU group, like the child-posters believe.

But it has to be fairly done. You can't let some players play and others not. Let the '22 kids be grandfathered in and moving forward say "once you go pro you can't come back whether you make a team, play, don't play etc.
