please just tell us why you don't like Mainieri, its obvious you were a player that was cut, or one associated with[/quote]

PM doesn't coach the players. Go watch them practice. He allows poor fundamental baseball (catchers not blocking, missing cut off men, etc.) to be played. Yes, they have a lot of talent, but no attention to detail will cost the team. It is his job to correct the mistakes being made, but he doesn't. Now is the time to work on this, not during the spring when the games count.

now, you're making stuff up. Gibbs blocks extremely well. He is a great defensive catcher. Played on US Nat'l team over the summer, and will be a high draft pick once eligible.

You've never seen LSU practice in Feb. or you'd know he actually runs out to the players position and tells them exactly what they are doing wrong.

I didn't name players. I won't blast a college player. I was speaking in general, not targeting any one player.

alright well since your opinion is not going to be swayed I will say this, root for LSU forget about the coaches and come back in June and we can discuss LSU's national championship.

I have seen them practice in Feb. and not much coaching then either. Why wait to coach, get rid of bad habits when they occur.

PM took a very young but talented team that wasn't expected to get there to Omaha last year!

He is pulling in great recruiting classes!

The man was able to win at Notre Dame you don't just luck your way into winning and making it to Omaha with Notre Dame. While he was at Notre Dame he actually developed some very good pitchers. I don't know that much about Grewe but we will see in the spring. This team has a tremendous amount of talent and has a great coach!

I don't think that many coach's could do half as well as PM did while he was at Notre Dame!

Personally, I think it takes a pretty good coach to win in the Midwest in college baseball!

He has done great so far and in my opinion will do great things in the future for LSU!
