Or does CEO start a search after this season to replace him?

He will be the OC. You really think Orgeron is going to admit he failed the OC hire twice in his first two years?

Yes, unfortunately so.

If O knows what's best for him and his career as LSU head coach, E won't be, but I'm not overly confident he'll make that change.

Our only hope is he resigns because he doesn’t want the job anymore. Luckily this is possible.

Yes, unfortunately, no OC at a P5 school that is successful is leaving to come coach for O given how the Canada drama played out. An OC like a Briles has to wonder how long O will be here to make a jump as well.

O is not firing Steve if we got 9-3 or 10-2 in the regualar season. So its a moot point

I hope not. But I don't ever remember Ensminger being this conservative before. Like Miles, Coach O is the one behind this offense & its strategy.

how can you not admit the experiment failed when your at the bottom of a 100 plus teams in the offense? best would be for Steve E to resign the position and move back to Te coach allowing O to hire another Oc.

Going 10-2 and a new years six bowl with the hardest schedule in the country and a bunch of freshman??

Gosh I hope so.

I hope not... The debacle against Alabama was terrible...

Playing hurry up offense against Alabama was a bad decision...

Yup

Remember Coach O’s exact words this offseason: “Steve Ensminger is the best offensive coordinator in the country”

Who knows. But if he is, why should we expect the offense to improve?

looked that way early but the only good win as of today is Uga. the rest of the good teams we lost to.Steve E. needs to be removed as Oc with this 100th ranked offense.

O sees himself as being one of the better coaches out there. He doesn't see himself as an up and coming. He thinks hes there. Therefore, he's not going to realize just how shitty of a job E has done with the offense. Pride is a helluva inhibitor.

E will be the end of O.

I'm still keeping my hopes up that Steve Ensminger was a stopgap solution until Ed Orgerons main OC target(s) becomes available in 2019.

Then again, I also was hoping that Joe alleva would replace less miles with a proven head coach that would give the fanbase hope for the future, instead LSU promoted a defensive line coach from within.

I was also hoping Ed orgeron would keep his promise of not meddling in the offense like his predecessor got fired for doing and like he admitted he did at Ole Miss and promised he wouldn't do here, yet he obviously stuck his big dumb defensive head in Canada's offense.

I was also hoping Ed orgeron would hire a young, dynamic, exciting new offensive coordinator after he couldn't swallow his pride with Canada, instead he promoted Les Miles' tight end coach from within who is on record as stating many times that he didn't want the job.

Essentially, nobody has any reason to hope that anything will get better.

SE is old. He’s also smart enough to read the writing on the wall and see that he’s not the best fit.

I could easily see a “re retiring/opt out” situation where O is “sad to see him go” and we’re on the hunt again.

This is my best case scenario. I’m not enamored with SE but he’s done some things well in 16 and 18. I’m not ready to angry mob the guy...
