I prefer the Andre Johnson comparison, but whatever.

He looked thicker than his listed 195...but it's hard to imagine anyone as big , fast and strong as Julio Jones from what I saw this past season...when I saw that guy in person in T.S.....he lookd like T.O. in a Bama uniform..and he's 19....hard to top.

he hasn't played one college football game yet.

but I sure hope he is a gamechanger.

LSU could always use more homerun threats.

Don't know him and have never met him but I liked what I saw when he signed on Wednesday. He looked sharp. Dressed nice but not overwhelming, seemed to have a really close relationship with his mom and really acted greatful for his opportunity and just good solid kid that will carry the colors of LSU with dignity and honor. Welcome aboard Rueben Randle. We look forward to your success in Purple and Gold.

he want put up julio jones numbers but only because julio went to a school with poor reciever play. had julio come to lsu he would not have put up half the numbers he did. so i dont expect ruebens freshman year to be "amazing". but i do expect his sophmore year on to be huge. and yes he is the real deal. he is closer to 205-210 than 195. and runs under a 4.5 at that size. he is very smart so the play book should not be a problem like it was for tolliver.

Minus the "journeyman" aspect of his college career. I'd like to see Randle put up Moss-like college numbers, but I'd like to see him do it at LSU, not after having to transfer to a 1AA team.
