Ok, you win. He's getting offers every day. We're just not hearing about ANY of them.

In less than 5 replies, the discussion is about people who support Miles.

Where is your credible source to disprove?

I don't have to. He asserted something as a positive fact. He has to prove it. I'm merely asking for the proof. I made no assertions. Other than the opinion that he had no credible proof and so I've seen none from either of them
Do you have any? I'd love to see it.
Prove me wrong.
Show me.

Why would you? Are you a confidant of either Miles or his agent?

And to answer the OP: no, he's not overpaid. He's right about where he ought to be.

So this isn't your FACT!!:
"they passed on him all three times. FACT!!"

"Find someone other than Stanley Jacobs and Skip Bertman, the two who stand to gain the most out of saying they really wanted Miles but he turned them down cause he is more loyal to LSU, "
Those are your sources. I didn't quote them, but as it stands it serves to disprove your point. Sort of like 2-0.
So what you got now?

I do have my source. And as to your 2-0 comment, i'll play along. In 3 hires you have had a President and AD from UM say they passed on him. So that would be 6-2. See how stupid a reasoning i can come up with to match the level of stupidity in your argument?

They said that they passed on Miles? I'd like to see some quotes on that.

I am merely asking to prove your FACT!! You know the one you denied writing.
I am merely asking you to cite credible sources to back you up. Calling me stupid isn't the same as proving your point.
Now let's start again. Prove it. That's it. Should be pretty simple. Just do it.
The only sources you cited although weakly disproved your point.

Maybe you are wrong and don't know crap? Ya think?

And if i gave you a name you would automatically know who it was and believe me? Let's say LSU had an alum in coaching that had won Conference and NC. If our admins and AD wanted him as coach dont you think they would do everything to get him? Look at what they are doing with Harbaugh now. Offering him some 8 mill a year. Miles just 3 years ago received a raise to 4.3. If they had wanted him bad enough, dont you think they could have easily topped what Miles was making? Do you really think they wouldnt have given him what he wanted for assistants? Dont you think the University of Michigan could have put a package up to lure him there?? But you are probably right and i am wrong. They offered him the job 3 times and his loyalty and love for LSU made him turn down more money to coach his alma mater. By the way did Miles agent ever get in contact with Bill Martin on his yaught in 07'?

1. Who knows what happens in 2007 if Herbstreit keeps his mouth shut.

2. Do you really believe that Brady Hoke was their top choice?

3. The job is still vacant. Not suggesting anything, but until the job's filled, anything can happen.

1). Miles would still have not been the coach. Carr faction was too strong and he and Miles are oil and water. AD Martin slow played Miles and his agent and had spiradic communication with them during the process. Pres. Coleman was on board with Miles somewhat but not Martin and Carr who still wielded much stroke in Schembechler hall then.

2). Hoke was not no 1 target but was ahead of Miles in AD Brandons mind and the Carr faction. The trip/convo with Miles was to placate fans when he had no intention of hiring Miles. Differing versions of the Miles dislike from UM dating back to the days on Moellers staff but that dislike is strong and has sunk him all 3 times.

3). Miles best chance was this time with Hackett in place, the results on passing on him the ither two times, and the Carr influence much less. Harbaugh is the slam dunk and Miles never had a shot with him in it. Even if he turns it down Miles will not get a serious look due to some opposition still in place. We will see if what i hear is wrong on this one. If he is hired this time, it means he made up a lot of ground and the Harbaugh turn down would be best smoothed over with him.

Any perceived interest on UM part in Miles was merely to placate the fans when the UM admin and influentials had no intention of ever serioulsy considering him. FACT!! There are several UM posters on here who can chime in to that effect.

Its sad how many of you want this to be true

So basically what I'm taking from the article, which echoes your sentiment, is that Michigan has screwed themselves out of the best coach available for their program due to politics.

Not sure why that reflects badly upon Miles. It should say something that the AD has to throw his name into the search each time in order to "placate" the fanbase.
