I've spoken about his shortcomings, now let's hear from the rest of the crew...

He looks good… sometimes.
I really wonder if his lack of elite arm strength is what limits the playbook (not defending Peetz) and lets the defense fold in on us as the game wears on. Maybe you can’t get way with having a mediocre arm in today’s game.

Backup, yes.
He needs a lot of help to get things fixed.
Just my opinion

No, but in his defense, Peetz has done him no favors with the play calling. Come on, who takes a left-handed QB and has him roll out to the right and throw across his body?

We've seen guys with average arm strength succeed at this level. The problem with him, aside from play-calling being terrible, is that he rarely steps into throws. He's often either throwing off his back foot, or throwing flat-footed. When he steps into a throw, he has enough. Still isn't a good deep ball thrower, but he could make it work if he had his footwork down.
Another issue is that he locks in on one guy on nearly every play. When you do that, nothing else really matters. You just aren't going to have success when you are that predictable.
The coaches compound the issues by running the same plays over and over.

He's got to get better, a LOT better.
And he can. Competition is a good thing.

Let’s see him under a capable OC.

His arm isn’t going to magically get better. It’s clear he can’t throw the ball down the field. Good qb but not elite.

I think Max has potential and can be salvaged with proper coaching. He’s shown flashes and made great throws at certain times.

Big wind-up, average arm at best.
Pocket awareness is really bad...

Who knows. Until we have a real HC and a real OC it’s hard to tell if he’s the answer or not.
My gut says he’s not but it’s clear this offensive coaching staff hasn’t helped him at all

By my count, we could have won 2 games had he not overthrown his wide open receivers.
Needs to work on footwork, to fix accuracy
Also get rid of football quicker and sharpen pocket awareness

I'd sit him and wait to see how he does in the pros, since his dad will most likely get him a shot.

He’s not that good. But the whole team is poo anyway so what does it matter

Well, I’ll try to be positive with a caveat, he looked good, albeit against inferior talent. He does well when receivers run open frequently. When a defense can tighten windows or play good man coverage, he struggles. You see him not want to pull the trigger, inaccuracy goes up, mechanics fall apart and sacks pile up.
