Trying too hard?

Really the only thing I noticed about hill that means anything is that he looked pretty tentative to start with but settled in pretty quickly and he was pretty good at waiting on his blocks.

i have never seen a player get more hype from 50 yards rushing in mop up duty against a team like idaho. people really need to pump the brakes with this kid. cecil collins ran wild against a good state defense at the time, and auburn. and then he started for the dolphins after playing in 3 career college football games. let's let hill play a little more.

Sounds good to me.

This thread has been started about every single one of our backs.

I've been waiting to see Hill play. I watched some of his high school films and was blown away at how good he looked. He has gained some weight and I don't know if or how that will affect him, but I was more excited about his recruitment than Hilliard at the time.

This. One thread would be understandable, but i've seen this same variation about 10 times since Saturday. I have no doubt if he was as good as people are making him out to be, he would have taken the first snaps against UNT, Wash, and IDAHO. But he didn't, soooo....

I don't think he's more talented than Addai, Broussard, JV or Ridley. He seems on the Charles Scott level talent wise.

Uhhh...no. Our current roster goes....

Ware, 6.1 5*
Ford, 6.0 4*
Hillard, 5.9 4*
Hill, 5.8 4*
Blue, 5.6 3*

So...he's not even close dude.

IDK dude, he looked like a slightly quicker Hilliard. I don't think he is as strong as him though. I mean I've seen both Hilliard and Blue run through Georgia's #3 ranked run D last year. IMO Hilliard is the best jack of all trades back with speed, power, vision, pass protection, pass catching, outside and inside running. Sure all the guys have better skills in one or two but none have all these skills on starter par like Hilliard, closest in my IMO is Blue but it could change.

Jeremy Hill may not be the 3rd most talented running back on THIS YEAR'S TEAM.

Does that answer your question?

It is premature to declare him hands down the best back on the team!

But some of you need to consider that some of us have seen him play in more than just the Idaho game. The kid has been playing football for years. Just because Saturday was the first time you saw him carry the ball doesn't mean it was the first for everyone else.

In terms of pure talent, no. I'd have him 3rd on the team currently. He and Hilliard are so close that it really just matters as to your opinion. I'm a Hill over Hilliard guy going back to their recruitment.

Most talented on the team in order, imo

Blue
Ford
Hill
Hilliard
Ware

That's purely talent not how I would rank them as players. Some don't play to the level of their talent.
