Is Jennings that good or Rivers that bad?

Next year we will have a virtual redshirt freshman starting at quarterback. Last time we did that was with Jarrett Lee in 08 and what a disaster that was.
That year was because, the projected starter Ryan Periloux was kicked off the team. But this year is different, we have Rivers on the sidelines, a redshirt junior with 4 years in the system.
So the question is, is Rivers that bad? Or Jennings that good. If Rivers is still this bad after 4 years in the system, then what the hell is this offensive coaching staff and offensive minded head coach doing.
I mean every quarterback, since Matt Flynn, has underperformed. QBs generally get better with each passing year. Jarrett Lee got better in his final year in 2011 but was yanked mid season. Jordan jefferson, got better at brawling only, not playing football. Mett who is a far better QB than his numbers show ( mainly because of the superstar oline coach and his superstar o-linemen). Now Rivers is not ready to play. There was a guy Garrett who was thrown off the team before Mett came in.
I watched Auburn play Texas A&M. Malzahn, takes a kicked off the team defensive back from Georgia, turns him into a QB, takes him into Kyle field and wins a ball game. By the way, he will take a Auburn team, that went 0-8 in the SEC and go 10-2 and go to the Sugar Bowl. THAT sir is a coach, not the trifecta of Miles, Cam and Stud.

Isn't Fla State QB a freshman?

...you can't coach natural talent

I know florida state is starting a freshman. Do did Texas A&M last year. A certain Manziel comes to mind. But they had real coaches who could coach a QB. Considering our history, I think it will be a disaster.

Did you not see the improvement in Mett this year?

Jennings will be a first-year starter, not a freshman starter. There's a difference. At least, I would hope there is.

Yea it sure would be nice if we had a former NFL OC/QB guru who helped develop guys like Brees, Rivers, Flacco, and who made significant progress w Mett. Oh wait.....

Based upon playing time in college, there isn't a person breathing that knows the correct answer to this question.

Yes, a true freshman.

I seem to remember folks being pretty excited about Lee. I know he was a pretty highly recruited prospect. Why is everyone so convinced Jennings will be that much better? Was Jennings that much higher ranked of a prospect?

Until Miles gets rid of Coach Stud it really doesn't make a difference who starts at QB. OL coaching sucks.
