It's not Raymond, its Steele's scheme that's the problem along with the lack of quality depth up front

Got the best cover corners in the country and we are playing zone.

Who are you going to hire to replace Raymond?

When Mark Stoops first started at FSU, they had the same problems. Blown coverages which led to giving up huge plays. Zone schemes aren't easy.

The next season, their defense was number 2 in the country.

I'm not ready to give up on Steele yet. He may very well be just a quick fix and we need to get a better DC, but it's too early to tell.

In a matter of years, it just seems like DB's went from being the stengh of the team to being the defense's biggest weakness.

It isn't Raymond, it's Steele.

He was a god-awful hire and it's showing.

Yep. And a lot of people seem to think it's elementary. That's always the knock on Richard Sherman, but not many people understand the difficulty. Everyone has to work together.

Exactly. It can be a ridiculously effective defense.

What a fitting name.

To answer your question hell no! This is solely on Steele and his bullshite zone.

Uneducated, did you even try? LSU had the #3 pass defense in the country last year. That's with zero pass rush to help them out.

No, Steele's scheme is awful for the type of players we have recruited.
