When he declared for the draft he was projected first rounder. He made the right decision at that time.

Haha he quit on plays, he cost himself big dollars this year.

This isn't what happened. Sam simply doesn't have potential to be a difference maker in the pros. He has decent speed, but nothing special. A DE has to be able to get to the QB to be drafted much higher, and Sam can't speed rush nor can he bull rush (in the NFL).

What the hell did he say for analysts to have him go from the 2nd round to the 6th?

Simon and Him are watching the Honey Badger go before them. That god for humor.

Ran a 1.61 in the 10 yard split. About the same as Ryan Kerigan, Aldon Smith, Mathias Kiwanuka, Lance Briggs, and plenty more. Should be enough to be solid, doesn't need to be extraordinary

Probably not speed rush, but he bull rushed against some of the best linemen in the SEC, all were left tackles. IMO that can translate well to the pros

He showed up late and said, "frick you. Pay me."

Also, he gave cliche answers: "My biggest weakness is that I care too much."

Not watching that.

How about being happy for the guy? His brother was shot and killed. His mom is in a wheelchair.

My mind would be elsewhere too.

Just messin' around. I am happy for the guy. I hope he does well. I love that he never gives cliche answers.

Btw, the 29 seconds mark was him getting pancaked by Joeckel after chasing Manziel around the yard.

It was probable he would last this long, and no, he shouldn't have stayed. Sam will be a steady pro but doesn't have the physical tools to be more than that.

He's not a huge run stopper who requires two blockers to contain him.
He's not a great edge pass rusher who they'll have to chip.
He can't bull rush NFL tackles.
The best you can say is that he'll hold his own in the trenches and provide good pursuit.

And that gets you in the third round. No surprise here.

I'm not sure why anyone would have told him to come out. Must have come to that decision on his own. NFL coaches, GM's, scouts etc watch film and if you go back and watch Sam you'll notice he is the last person off the ball on every snap. He runs awkwardly likes he's trying not to poop his pants oj and he takes plays off admittedly. Not a top round combination. But I enjoyed having him at LSU. ¤

Good post, why would any tiger fan want to dog a player for dropping in the draft. The last few years we all were talking up both of our defensive ends. Future players do read this post and not sure why a Tiger fan would be happy about not going higher in the draft

2nd guessing decisions of others is a waste of time and we all need to support our players after their tiger years even those who do not make it to the next level

"I am glad he is gone after he came out and said what he said....... let the free fall continue for him!!!!!!! anybody that say's he takes games off and doesnt give it his all for his team"

What a dumb response. Sam was a beast at LSU and fans loved every minute of him being here. He shouldn't of come out and said that, but the harsh reality of it is, all kids his age are doing the same thing. I don't remember any LSU fans calling him out while he was playing.

All kids his age have half assed a play, or not taken a test seriously, but I'm going to guess you have no idea what I mean.
