Not impossible, but also not probable for any team in the near future.

All I want is more championships. I don't expect them to be the greatest champions of all time like this team.

I find it ironic that during the 150 year(s) celebration of college football.....we witnessed the greatest season and team accomplishments by any team in the history of college football

How is that ironic? Seems appropriate not ironic

I think this is the best it gets. I hope there are more seasons as good as this one, but I'm pretty sure this season will never be topped. One thing for sure, this is the best and the most fun season of my lifetime.

To top this season would be hard to imagine. Being in my later years in life, I definitely don’t expect to see it in my lifetime. Possibly my grandchildren at some point in their adult life.

This is as good as it gets, IMO, in college football.

Enjoy it. We'll have a great season or two in the 2020s, but I doubt those will be as great as 2019.

This was a special season for sure, as my time gets shorter I just happy that I got to experience this one.
Every record or team we beat this year was an offensive accomplishment, and those records will be hard to duplicate or break.
But....... we still have all kinds of defensive records out there waiting for our team to smash, so who is to say we could have another very special season only this time with a dominating defense. Something to think about haha.

Highly unlikely. Its been said many times (by non LSU people) this is probably the greatest season in the history of college football.

Was Joe Brady’s great-grandfather our passing game coordinator?

Add to all of that in the OP:

11 of the 15 teams beaten by LSU were bowl teams!

Six of the eleven won their bowls: Texas, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Clemson (beat Ohio State).

Four of the eleven lost their bowls: Georgia Southern, Utah State, Mississippi State, and Auburn.

A fifth, Oklahoma, lost their bowl game to LSU.

Yes...it is highly unlikely we will ever see anything like this again in the next 50 years.

No, the next season may take a different form. Maybe not all the awards, but maybe a different crop of players does something special. Like the greatest defense in the history of CFB.

I would guess that nothing is impossible. But what were the chances of this happened for the first time?

Put another way, what odds could you have received on a bet that all of that would have happened to LSU this year?

I would think 1,000,000 to 1 or the maximum odds ever given on a sporting event.

It's whiplash Karma

For years we have cried about why cant LSU just get a QB? Why cant we just get a modern offense. We always have the defensive players and skill players, why not a QB?

For years and years.

It's almost like the gods took all of those years frustrations and gave us not just a QB, but the BEST QB. Not just an offense, but the BEST offense. Whiplash. Yeah, this is the best possible season but if we can keep the offense rolling we will be an elite team forever.

It's POSSIBLE to have a better season; we'd "just" have to have All-American and award-winning linebackers and defensive linemen... in addition to everything else this team accomplished.

So, imagine this exact team, with Devin White returning instead; and add Glenn Dorsey to the line.

Oh, and Cole Tracey back at kicker, but with about 5 yds more range.

Realistically, there's no chance. Someone would have to match Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall and Moss, and I don't think that will happen. Burrow was insane, Chase was super great... and then you have to realize the Jefferson should be All American too, and Marshall should be pushing at least All SEC.

Beyond that, there's not a lot of room left to improve. Notice I didn't add in Fournette at RB, as I think Clyde actually was the perfect fit; maybe you could put Guice back there. But in reality, you want to keep the RB as complementary and under the radar, so that it doesn't affect the game plan; you want to shock the defense when he runs, and keep it less obvious for short yardage etc.

I hope so, but there are whispers of Hawaii and Baylor making overtures to Aranda to fill their head coach positions.
