Not at all. I’m glad Aranda is on the staff. I fully support him for head coach when we move on from Eaux

Without our defense as strong as it was, we probably go 6-6 like most sports outlets predicted.

Keep loading up until the offense catches up.

Shows how retarded the average sports writer is today.

Agreed. The defense again carried the team. Aranda is worth every penny. He’s the most valuable coach on staff and it’s not close

Yep lol. It just makes me feel sorry for him. I’ll avoid engaging him in the future

Aranda should be LSUs next HC when he’s ready. We can’t let him bolt for a mid size program when the time comes. We have to take the risk and make him our HC.

what makes everyone think Aranda would be a good HC. It's two different skill sets. Most importantly, what about recruiting? Can he recruit at a great level because you need great players to compete at the highest level of college football. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a great HC but just because he is a great coordinator doesn't mean he would be a great HC.

So you see how I said “high risk”? That is because the risk is the fact that he has not been a head coach. I’m saying LSU needs to take that risk because it has the potential to be a huge payoff.

Read and comprehend.

Good post and I agree that a repeat from hiring from within the program may no be wise.

I think it’s more that Dave Aranda isnt jhst a good coach, but more of a phenomenal coach. That’s only relevant because there may come a time down the road where he will be the leading candidate to become the next head coach at LSU, which could also be a transitional period where Nick Saban is thinking about hanging it up at the same time so that will be an extremely important hire. It could become even more relevant if this team underperforms under Orgeron next year (doesnt make the playoffs, loses 2 or more games, finishes 3rd in west, etc). Dave Aranda is not a good coach, he’a a great coach. It’s odd to see our fanbase not acknowledge this and be somewhat divided it seems (at least on this dumbass internet message board). I feel Aranda is more important to LSU’s long term success and competing for a title than Orgeron is, but I believe many fans of LSU would retain Orgeron over Aranda, which is crazy to me.

LSUs defense has not been ranked in the top 5 in any of the years he’s been DC, yet he is the highest paid DC in the country. That is why some of us don’t think he is a phenomenal coach. Notably, he’s been out coached by Alabama three times, and Mullen at least twice. He didn’t have an answer for Fisher in the 1st half either.

None of what I just posted means I want to get rid of him, especially not in favor of keeping Orgeron or Ensminger

Well, I don't personally know a single one

There has been a lot of fake Orgeron vs Aranda stuff by the Anti crowd on here and it's just to create drama, by drama queens

True, but he seems very organized and detailed, I think it's a good start.
