Is Fournette that much better than Adrian Peterson?

Comparing collegiate results and competition, it's starting to appear that Fournette is extremely superior to AP and there should be nothing in the NFL that prohibits Fournette having same or better results than Adrian too.
AP College Stats
LF College Stats
Like to note the vast differences in YPC as well as receiving yards.

I love Leonard Fournette, but this shite is ridiculous until he gets into the league. AP may be the most physically gifted RB of all time.

I was about to give you some serious shite about the AP comparison until I saw the stats. Pretty damn comparable IMO

maybe but what attributes does he have that Fournette doesn't?

I like that Fournette has 8.1 and Guice has 8.0 now. Just had to show the world that he is still the boss.

When AP had his best year, sooners had senior Jason White at qb throwing for 3200 yards keeping defense honest. Fournette had Jennings and Harris scraping for 2,000 yards with 13 in the box.

You brought the NFL into the discussion, not me.

yep, using collegiate comparisons as a means to NFL projection for Fournette.

Pretty dumb considering one of the best RBs in the league right now was a WR for some no name school. So, again, until Fournette gets into the league and has similar success, the argument of who is "better" is ridiculous.

I agree that these discussions are kind of meaningless until we have the benefit of seeing Fournette in the pros because they cannot be looked at in vacuum.
However, Fournette has been compared to Peterson since they were in high school. Similar build and freakish ability. The fact that Fournette is putting up better college numbers is very impressive. You never know what will happen in the NFL.
It also should be noted, that the Big 12 wasn't a black hole for defenses back then

I don't mind this comparison at all and it's interesting.
As of right now, Fournette has 178 fewer collegiate carries than Peterson did, but only 384 fewer yards and 4 fewer touchdowns, while averaging 1 yard better per carry.

It's infinitely better than trying to use college stats to project NFL success.

still waiting to hear what physical traits AP has that LF doesn't...

Nice pivot. Peterson has proven to be a physical freak, and it's documented. We will find out what Fournette can do when he goes to the combine.
Or, as you keep doing in this thread, we can just guess, right?

Now post Leonard's official numbers so we can compare. Oh wait, you can't......

A 4.4? oh wow. so unfathomable.

Because his 40 time is all that proves athleticism, right?
You're some kind of special, are you?
