The fact that we were 108th ranked offense, and last in the SEC. Can it get any worse than last? Dont think so.
Our offense has declined steadily since Crowton's first year. Changing QB's is apparently not the answer, if you have been paying attention.

haven't given up on JJ...he's a good athlete that needs to be coached. Kids can't normally come right out of high school and step in a SEC uniform and start kicking arse. He needs a coach...they all need a coach. I think JL is a good QB that has been thrown under the bus.

Exactly my point. I don't think we can afford another year of Crowton. Louisiana is a veritable gold-mine of talent for the 2011 signing class. We cannot afford to have another lackluster year on offense or under center. Kids will start looking at alternatives.

Crowton has to go. As Bill King on Rivals Radio would say, "We have a big enough sample size. What you're getting now is what you're gonna get."

I have been paying attn. We changed QBs and went from 51st to 108th on offense. That experiment didnt work. Just like Malveto. When you make a change (Pelini to Malveto) You dont say, we cant risk another new system.

THE EFF YOU CANT?

I think its coaching and player development with the whole team. saying this i do find that if you watch jj eyes during the game he looks lost, frustrated and down right down. They will let him be him in the capital one bowl and we will see then what he has.A lot of people wanted to blame the offesive line play, but when they made a pocket for him he would run out of it and get sacked or run two yards and fall down. when he got sacked in the pocket is when he stayed to long in the pocket because his one reciever was covered. We had two all american wide recievers and what did we do to them? Cost them money because we didnt even try to use them correctly?

I think you have to factor in the fact that he was playing on one leg the last few games, which takes away one of his prime abilities, which is running the football. In addtion, he really wasn't able to throw the ball like he usually does. That being said, I think his progression is good, and I expect his performance in the C1 Bowl to be very good.

That also being said, look for that QB stud from Mississippi to make some waves next year.

Anybody that wants to give up on him is an idiot. He is a true sophomore QB who just completed his first year as a starter in the toughest conference in the country and he only lost three games. Two of his three losses came to the number one and two ranked teams in the country.

If someone wants to give up on him it is because they are a fricking idiot and don't know shite about football.

Just my opinion.

Clearly you haven't. JJ put up similar numbers than Flynn, and the offense did worse. You want to pin that all on the JJ? Seems a bit naive.

We have been in a steady decline, and QB play (in a vacuum) has been demonstrated to be a very minor issue.

We have declined steadily.

2006- 11
2007- 26
2008- 55
2009- 108

Notice a trend there? Still think Jefferson is the problem? We threw for 500 yds less all season than last year (21 less ypg avg), and ELEVEN fewer interceptions.

Nice. A Bama fan wants us to believe that keeping the QB of the worst offense in the league is a good move. Yeah, I'm buying that.

This.

JJ is going to be a good one, IMO.

Yes. how many of those completed passes were for losses or on the line of scrimmage?

How come JJ has 500 less yards passing than the nearest Soph QBs of major programs. He dinked and dunked all year. He relied on spec teams, pick sixes, and a Charles Scott broken tackle to win half his games.

You don't think that is a playcall issue?

missed 1 3/4 games due to injury.

Had Lee done more of that last year, we probably play for the SEC Championship.

Replace Scott with Ingram, and you just described Alabama's season.

He wasn't calling the plays. I think the one time he disagreed with the coaches this year and asked them to run the ball instead of throwing it yall scored a TD and won the game against Georgia. I may be wrong about that but I don't think so.

like Terrell Pryor, maybe?

JJ ranks 38th in the nation in passing efficiency. Pryor? 65th.

Hell just check this to see all the guys JJ is ranked ahead of.
LOTS of SR's and JR's underneath him in this one.
May want to avert your eyes from the Passing Efficiency Rankings, Brah.

He also checked out of a play unknowingly to the coaches against UW and it was one of Toliver's TDs.

Why would people not back him?

What LSU is lacking is adequate QB coaching. What is NOT lacking at LSU is QB talent.

JJ tried to run a spike with 1 sec left....

Miles did say the want to call a timeout was certainly communicated

P.S. If there is 1 sec on the clock and my coach is telling me to spike it, I'm telling him to frickoff because I hate to lose...apparently it doesn't bother JJ
