Will his risk injury in his last college football game or will he man up and play? I have a feeling he is playing and leaves everything on the field.

Did he show any indication to you Saturday that he is just coasting to the draft?

It's more than man up and play. I'd love to see all these guys play it out.. but I won't dog them for protecting their future contracts. I'd at least think about it with millions on the line

If he sits too, I am for it.

This is a trend you will see more and more.

Unlike you, I won't look down on the kid if he decides not to. There are millions on the line for him.

Add me to the list of those that will look down on him. Finish what you start, it's that simple. Not to mention the fact that LSU played a huge part in his development into a draftable player.

And he gave a ton back to LSU with his play on the field. If he doesn't play in an exhibition game, so be it.

Devin white will play unless a body part falls off between now and game time. That’s just the kind of person he is.

Only REAL MEN risk injury and millions of dollars to play in an exhibition game to appease a bunch of middle-aged men on a message board they never have and probably never will meet!

I think he plays. If something bad happens and he gets hurt, he'll come back. Don't think it matters to him. He just wants to play football.

If you think of it in terms of him being your son, your opinion would be different. The man has a chance to set himself and his immediate family up for life, and if the money is managed correctly his family could be set for several generations. If it were my son, you advise him to jump on every great opportunity he feels is moral and ethical. Him not playing in a bowl game to protect his health and draft status is not unethical or immoral, it's common sense. Him leaving early is not immoral or unethical, it's common sense. As a matter of fact, if he and Greedy are leaving early, not playing helps the younger guys get reps against quality competition for next year.

Of course it's his decision whether he feels he's accomplished everything he wants at LSU, and if his decision is to return for another year and/or play in the bowl game, it should be entirely his choice based on what HE wants. LSU has given him a scholarship for playing football, and he's been one of the best ROIs they could've hoped for, and there's nothing more he owes the university.

The Bowls have always been glorified exhibitions with the exception of the BCS champioship game.

Then playoff has made them even more irrelevant and the only useful part about the bowl is extra practice reps for guys returning.

I like guys who play it out and don't sit out the bowl game, but the reality is that there is no real reason for any of the guys leaving to play one more college down at this point.

The exception to this is the teams in the playoff who can win a championship. I think you really should not bail on the team if a championship is at stake.

But bowl games? Who cares? If they play great, but the smart decision is to not risk injury in a glorified scrimmage.
