Kevin Steltz was a good player for us. He bent Bradie James' facemask as a walkon freshmen at practice one day. By the end of his career he had a scholarship and broke the dumbell bench press record

He was a very solid safety who never got rattled.

he followed one of the baddest dudes (laron landry) with some big shoes to fill. I do think he wasn't given the amount of love he deserved.

I don't think he was underrated. I thought he was a really good safety. He made a lot of good players but for some reason everytime I think about him, I remember a hit he put on (i think it was a WR) a player from Virginia Tech.

It might be because it happened on the side of the field where I was sitting and it was loud. I mean, he laid that guy out..
