I love the people bitching about how he "didn't run the ball enough". Yep, that's been the consistent complaint here, "Les always run it!"

It would be the best hire of the miles tenure besides chavis.

Hopefully he's learned from it.

This would be a substantial upgrade from what LSU has right now.

And it being someone that miles clearly trusts, hopefully he'll have the offense to himself.

I agree but it concerns me that he couldn't make the decision fast enough. We've seen that issue here at LSU before. Maybe he had too much to select from , idk but it's not his style that concerns me it's his slowness

after looking up those stats....i realized how well RP had played in his limited time in '07 and it pisses me off to think what could have been.

What does he have in the way of College coaching experience? It seems a lot of coaches who are good in one level are not good at the other. :cough:Charlie Weiss:cough:

1983 - 2001
(except for 94-96, when he was with the Redskins)

Pretty easy to find...

But the fact is, Cam was fired in Baltimore not because of the actual play calls, but the guy couldn't make the call fast enough

for example, Flacco would have 8-10 seconds to get to the line, make adjustments etc under Cam

went to about 18-22 seconds with Caldwell

That was the issue, do some research

I think another difference between Caldwell and Cameron is that Flacco wanted a no huddle offense while Cameron wasn't about it. That could explain the big difference in the amount of time at the line.

Cameron coached at Michigan and at Indiana.

Weiss was always a brilliant offensive mind. He cannot put together a defense to save his life.

Maybe just a little late. But I'll give him credit for acknowledging how bad things have gotten and how he's making an effort to fix it.

Cam Cameron could be a perfect fit for lsu

Cameron wouldn't have been available last year. We most likely wouldn't have gotten Chavis if Miles had hired an experienced DC instead of experimenting with Mal-veto. Sometimes a little bit of patience works out.

However, if we hire the same guy who didn't feed Ray Rice the ball I will be pissed. Watch a Ravens game and try not to lose your mind.

Jesus Christ, some of the people on this board will bitch about ANYTHING.

Well to be fair, Payton has Drew Brees.

I think it's a good hire. My only concern is that if there really was an issue with getting plays in quick enough, Mett was already having issues reading defenses and making quick decisions. Add a new OC that may not get plays in quickly and it will definitely be an adjustment process.

Whether pre-snap reads or in the pocket, if he's already rushed with a late play call this is going to add another burden to Mett. That being said, I expect Mett has learned from last season.

I think this will work out in the long run and as the season progresses, but don't be surprised if those first few games are extremely sloppy.

Cam Cameron has been doing this for a LONG time. I really don't think this is going to be a problem.

So if we hire Cam Cameron I'm sure it will only be for 1 year or 2 tops? Anyone else agree?

I would definitely welcome it. I just hope some of his playcalling abilities and playbook stay behind.

Please be true...

Are there any OC openings that Stud could be looking at elsewhere?

Possibly? I'm not quite sure how he is viewed in the NFL anymore.

Maybe. Maybe not. Worth a shot.

If the money is right, he may stick around if the offense is clicking.
