He wouldn’t commit to Ole Miss. They finally had enough of waiting for him to decide and pulled the offer. He was still looking, apparently.

Pretty sure he just wouldn’t commit to what they had offered him, and was still actively looking for a landing spot. They got tired of waiting on him to give them an answer, so they moved on. There may be more to it, but this is the summary.

I'm very curious about that one too. Has to be a good story there, from both sides. Worth noting that as far as douches in the SEC go- Bjork is at the top of the list.

So there's no telling.

can't believe LSU was able to schedule JB's trip to Baton Rouge without Thomas' superhuman organizational skills.

The fax machine has been out of paper since the day he left. LSU sent a courier to Ohio to retrieve Joe's papers.

The copier is running low on toner and LSU is screwed when it runs out. Thomas wasn't just a beautiful face and hairline.

I'm surprised LSU was operating before he got there and has not shut down not only the football program but the entire school since he left.

He'll probably be the president of the United States in a couple years.

Yep, too bad he has built the quality and depth on both the defensive and offensive lines like he has

And failed to land a CB, despite knowing two of the top three were turning pro and Fulton would be ineligible.

It sucks he has Aranda as his defensive coordinator and the players to kick some serious arse.

It sucks that the model on which LSU football is run is that we pay our coordinator $2.5mil a year because he’s more indispensable than the head coach.

quote:

It probably really sucks for you that Joe Burrow just signed papers to attend LSU for his last two years.

I hope Burrow is a stud. But Orgeron didn’t land a HS quarterback this year which was a HUGE problem under Miles. He got lucky and landed a very good transfer. There won’t always be a Joe Burrow looking to come to LSU every year.

quote:

Who knows maybe Eaux won't recruit four transfers that are immediate starters

Again, Orgeron did well by landing immediate transfers, but it wouldn’t be necessary if the roster was managed properly. Blame Miles for the line depth problems, but the cornerback issues we’ll likely see this year are all on Orgeron.

God, you are an idiot and your O hatred is just disgusting.

1. At the time Tolliver was coming back. Everything indicated that. He was a late round pick at best (and it turned out he wasn't even drafted). It wasn't even totally clear at that point that DJ was gone either.

2. Surtain screwed LSU over period. There was NOTHING O could have done differently. What, you want him to pull his offer and then offer MG? Is that what you are suggesting? Corey Raymond had been on Surtain since the beginning of time and nothing suggested Surtain would screw us over until he did.... AT THE LAST MINUTE.

3. So LSU went out and got the best CB available via transfer.

4. The good in this is that is should help us land some incredible studs this year.

5. If you can't see how much better O is handling and managing our roster then no one can help you. It's night and day.

6. Finally, there is a big difference in not having a crystal ball, and mismanaging out of stupidity. Having 2 guys declare and a lifelong commitment screw you over at the last minute is NOT mismanaging. Sometimes bad shite just happens.

And you losers that find a way to twist everything, and call all the positives "luck'' and so forth should just go find another team to root for.

Wasn't his decisions who could/couldn't get a ship at LSU. The coaching staff picked who they wanted

yeah that's how things work at the college level. Maybe AT should try his hand in coaching if he wants to make roster decisions. Or he needs to give up the college game and try to get hired by an NFL franchise to work in the front office.

Orgeron stated in a press conference in October that he anticipated Tolliver and Jackson to go pro. You’re simply ignoring facts at this point.

quote:

O had a four star cornerback ready to sign commitment papers but he wanted to keep it on the remote chance he could land Justin Rogers. Knowing that he would be down three cornerbacks in 2018, it was foolish to not sign Goodrich when he was ready.

He’s a backup from Stanford. Depth is good, but he’s not on the same level as Surtain or Goodrich. Since when is relying on transfers a thing to be celebrated at LSU? This isn’t Mississppi State.

No high school quarterbacks. The exact same thing that hurt the position under Miles. credit Orgeron replenishing the lines, but not securing a single elite cornerback when you know three will be gone next year is inexcusable.

Also, he’d been at the helm of the program for a year and a half. Not recruiting a quarterback in any class is foolish. Praying to land Justin Rogers in the 11th hour isn’t good management.

quote:

Having 2 guys declare

Again, Orgeron himself stated that they would likely declare back in October.

I can’t wait for the football to actually be kicked off so Orgeron can shite down his leg again like he did all last year so you’ll disappear again.

Orgeron offseason champ yea!

His talents as a recruiter were vastly overstated on this board.

WTF does any of this have to do with recruiting? The 2018 recruits are for two to four years down the road.
