Getting a little off topic here but am I the only one who was (lack of a better word for happy)that Mett couldn't play in the bowl game. I'm really excited to see Jennings get out there and be able to both run and pass as a sort of hybrid between Jefferson and mett, I call him the jeffenberger

Good first game for AJ#10 to build some confidence and show his Heisman-esque talents.

The hawks came off a horrible 4 win season in 2012. Iowa had new OC and DC lasst season.

This year we fans expected about 6 go 7 wins. The defense was better than expected and the first year starter QB played a lot better than we all expected. However you could say he cost us the game against N. Illinois.

Iowa's losses were to NIU, MSU, OSU and Wisconsin. Hawks were raw and ragged against NIU. Against MSU, they just shut us down and their O came out of the closset that day. Wisconsin gave us the ball on a short field 3x and we only managed 9 points. At Ohio State the hawks played well but simply could not stop them in the 2nd half.

Iowa is a traditional zone blocking run first pass second off play action. Schematicly like MSU and Wisconsin and Stanford. Iowa has always been that way but when we last played Iowa had no running backs to speak of and played all pass that year.

Iowa strength is its defense. A young Dline and 3 senior Linebackers who are all pretty quick. Iowa's Pass D has been pretty good this year too. Traditionally the hawks don't blitz much but they did a lot in November.

Iowa has no stars to speak of outside of their Left Tackle who will be a 1st round draft choice.

I'm as curious obout LSU - so return the favor with a little write up.

I did see a bit of your game against Alabama and I think If Iowa lines up againt that 1st half team, we won't win.

Monster OLine. Stack the box and let the young corners do work.

iresponse to buddy garrity(I loved Friday night lights) when I refer to him as a hybrid between Jefferson and mett I'm establishing that hes not one sided like the two, but instead he has a good arm(met) and he can run like Jefferson, hes a product of the 2

Iowa? They sucked this year and almost got beat by a horrible Northwestern team. LSU will stomp a mud hole in their arse! Iowa, what a joke, I'd rather the Tigers play Nebraska or better yet Michigan or a real BIG team.

you'll be happy to find that SEC is visitor and Big ten is home so you get to wear your whites and we get to wear our black jersseys.

I know nothign about them

I assume they suck because they are a 4 loss Big ten team and lost to NIU.

But they run a pro style offense, which we have trouble with, of course Iowa doesn't equal full force UGA, or Bama.

I hope Jennings just shreds them. Hill may have a really really solid bowl game too.
