And I agree with Mett breaking it next year. If we carry over our end of the year passing success and Leslie makes a splash...we are no longer on this list

Wonder what the rushing for over 200 looks like. Because les hasnt lost many games when we have someone go for 100 yds

I look at the saints success. Won a super bowl when they had a rushing game. Cant win a play off gane in a season brees broke the record. One of the better games this season brees didnt throw for 300 and the saints beat the falcons cus they actually ran the ball well that day. Passing isnt everything. When brees is firced to throw over and over again the chance of to and losing the game is greater.

I agree that balance is very important, especially when examining the Saints' success. I think we tip the scales in the other direction though. Just like the Saints with passing, our rushing game is usually there. We need to add more balance with a more consistent and dangerous passing game.

If we win 10-13 games a year, I don't care if we never pass for 300 yards again.

I'll take 301 yards passing, no int's, + 200 yards rushing for 5-6 total TDs every game.

I got your point, some people just like to go against any thread content. Knowing you can throw for 300 in a game is a good thing, especially if you know you can run the ball as well, and yeah, it has been an issue since 2008.

His point is that our passing game has been on par with teams that run a triple option offense.

I agree I think our passing game needs lots of work. We don't need 300 passing yards/game, but something to prevent the defense from stacking 9 in the box.

Minus Arkansas

For those that believe this stat reflects a strong running game, we are roughly about 5th or 6th on average in the SEC from 2007-2012 in total rushing.

We were the 44th best rushing team in the country this season.
