No you aren't...if you use a public media to do so. Absolutely, if you are referring to him doing so in a private manner. HUGE difference.

Stalk blocking is a very important key to the running game.If you don't like to do it ,then maybe you need to try out for kicker .

Serious question, how old are you?

WTF does this have to do with MD taking his frustrations publicly? Did LF starting half arse playing after those games? Did he go public complaining about not getting enough carries? (it damn sure was true for Arky) Did he start fumbling the ball? Hell no, he worked hard and has turned into potentially the greatest college running back ever...or at least in the mix. Something these guys might take notice to.

So here's and example of a pro athlete expressing the same thing and that he wants the ball. And people on here talk about "maturity"!!! The following quote is from one Roddy White of the 4-0 Atlanta Falcons

“For me, at the end of the day, I want to catch passes,” White said, via Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com. “I’m not out here just f—ing around just to sit around to just block f—ing people all day. It’s not what I want to do. I’ve contributed to offenses for this franchise for the last nine, 10 years. It always bothers me when I go out and don’t catch any balls in a game because it hasn’t happened in so long.”

i don't see anything wrong with what dupre said. however, he shouldn't have said it publicly. there are enough offensive plays for LF to get 25 and the wrs to get their fair share. wrs are not getting their fair share currently.

bowe, lafell and lots of lsu wrs dropped passes. it happens. that's not a reason to bash the guy. he stated that he needed to do better and he is right but it is also correct to say that lsu coaches need to do better by calling more wrs plays. this doesn't have to affect LF's carries. LF should not be a part of this wr conversation.

recruiting wise, there is an obvious reason why LSU has not signed an oos wr (in over 5 years)that has contributed to the passing game. ask Stephen Sullivan if he likes the number of pass attempts per game.

Glad to see the receiver play is front and center. I had a post banished 2 weeks ago for commenting on the poor play. Nonetheless, you need to see the posture and body language of said players when they are not included in the play. Watch what they do away from the play. They obviously do not know what a mirror is, because the self evaluation is not there in the entitled players. The 2 tall outside guys have played regardless of poor attitude, performance and adverse public comments. The big inside guy, a reported strong blocker has had the drops. Meanwhile, LM/CC introduce a new inside/outside guy Fr. phenome. He looked completely lost last week AND had a bonified drop. The one guy from last year, the one banished... 1 catch, no drops, 6 yds after catch. Quiet, no drama, multdimensional, huge effort, big blocks, team player. I dunno,it sounds insane to me

For a guy who likely dreams of being a 1st round draft pick after his junior year, Malachi needs to learn that the only thing worse for your NFL dreams than being a starting wide receiver on a team that rushes 75% of the time is being a backup wide receiver on a team that rushes 75% of the time.

I'm not surprised in the least that you don't actually get the potential harm of quotes like this...especially for a team that is undefeated and in a championship hunt. He certainly represents a "me" attitude and not one of a "team" attitude, with those statements...and it's obviously something that is impacting the wr's internally, given their efforts on Saturday. Again, you can't understand this type of fallout.....because afterall, what he said was true right? What's he suppose to do, Lie? lol

The point is not to defend Dupre. Of course you don't want statements like this made to the media. The larger, more relevant point is that our inability to have a balanced offense is hurting the program far more than the statements of one frustrated WR could ever harm the program.
But I don't know why I'm posting this to you, when you evidenty learned so much in your formative years that you see no need to be humble or open-minded.

It's not even close to the same thing. Here you have a pro athlete with a proven track record that is paid to catch balls, and has done a very good job of it in his career. Even this though, is a cancerous type of statement if it was taken this year, because, I believe that Atlanta is rolling now...but his attitude his fk success....it's about me. There used to be a great WR in the NFL that couldn't stay anywhere...you might remember him as TO. He was the definition of a cancer in the locker room.

You know I'm not the one who joked that he should lie right? You know that a reporter asked him specifically about recruiting for a team that runs 75% of the time? It wasn't about playing time or being unhappy. You know this is a midweek story that hardly any recruits will notice and if they did, it will be gone from their minds before they wake up tomorrow? You know he went on and on about how the WRs played terribly and he should have caught the ball?

You're a sheep. Easily manipulated by a non story. Mad at a kid for no other reason than a reporter had an angle he needed quotes for.

Would be nice to provide some context OP

Hey OP, you have yet to address this.

wow, 14 pages of absolute crap and the OP can't answer a very simple question.

"what was the question asked to prompt dupre's answer?"

LOL

First...everyone would like a more balanced attack, including the coaching staff. Les made an effort with that this past Saturday against an overmatched team. The WR's should have feasted on those DB's, especially Dupree with his size advantage. They weren't getting open most of the time (go back and watch the game again), and when they did no quit on a play, and had a ball thrown to them...they dropped them.

Last I checked LSU is the third favorite to win the NC this year RIGHT NOW. Are you sure this is hurting us far more than what this kid said? Because what this kid said is the type of stuff that breeds negativity and is cancerous to a program...we already saw that with the lack of effort on Saturday by the WR's. If you or I were playing, and not happy with getting the ball enough...and knew that the gameplan was to throw more....as a WR wanting the ball more, I would have been excited to get to show off my new skills...instead, they acted non-interested and gave a sloppy, half arse effort. You don't think that's a potentially huge problem. Of course....I've never seen one positive post by you on here...one of the original negatigers.

No, but they also didn't have a QB that could throw it to them.

Chunking 5 hail mary's is not a balanced attack.

This head coach has the tendency to abandon the passing game at the first sign of trouble. However, no matter how many times he's been stuffed and lost because we continued to ram into a brick wall, he will never feel that the solution is more passing.

WRs are divas who complain and talk the most shite. Look at the head cases on most teams. It's usually a WR.
